VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Kaetlynn, a pro ultimate frisbee player, and her husky pup Mako live in a DIY skoolie that usually finds its tires traveling the desert. She bought the rig for $3100 and spent about 10k to build it out in about a year and a half with her father's help. Most of the interior was made using recycled material and reclaimed wood.
How do you know this girl loves to cook? She sacrificed clothing and extra storage for the sake of a large kitchen! This central area has a copper sink, marine fridge, and more spices than the average home. The bed is fixed with a large area underneath for Makos safe space, a garage, and more storage. Kaetlynn's favorite spot of her entire tiny home is up on the roof deck with a drink, a sunset, and a deep breath.

Love that she credits her amazing Dad along with the family workshop! The dog looks cozy and happy. Gyms/fitness centers/Y have showers, so that shouldn't be an issue. Such a nice build, well planned and stylish, too.

Actually the dog food drawer is used quite a bit. Many of the builds I’ve seen where people have pets (generally puppers) they intentionally build dog food drawers so they aren’t running into them. Either in the front of the bus or somewhere in the kitchen area. I am just the opposite. Loathe cooking so a sink, marine fridge, induction cooktop (no gas for this chick) , and a good coffee pot! A few feet of counter space because you have to put all that stuff underneath it but otherwise-closet space!! Sweet build! Mako looks like a happy baby in his crate. Great that you could build with your dad. Those are times you never forget. Many happy and amazing journeys!! Vaya con Dios!!

Add a little grate and use the copper sink for cleaning vegetables or defrosting food then drop in another, larger sink next to it. That way you have the best of both worlds. It would also make a cute ice bucket if you have guests.

Lovely bus, you did a great job, love your bus ❤️ As far as your small sink being hard to do dishes in just get you a dish pail/wash tub doesnt cost much its just a square plastic pail for washing dishes. You can get one at a Dollar General for around 5 dollars. You can even get the Collapsible wash tub it just fold down to save space for easy storage after using. You can just put it on the counter next to your sink fill with water and soap wash then rinse in the built in sink this may help keep the water from going everywhere if you just rinse in that sink. If that still makes a water mess get 2 wash tubs fill on with washing water and fill the other with plain rinse water you can dunk you dishes in clean water to rinse safe on water by not having the water running while rinsing. When I use to go camping at our camp your outside kitchen had to wash tubs one for washing one for rinsing it work out well for us special with no plumping or water other then what we would bring in with us filling to tubs helped to save water. Now that they make the tubs where the fold down they take up almost no space. Hope that info will help

A quick tip for the doing the dishes without water everywhere is a simple plastic tote, say 6” deep 18x24” or smaller, whatever dimensions work. Set it up right under your tap on the counter, do your dishes, small drying rack on the counter, empty the water and then put the dishes in the rack in the tote, leave on the counter to dry, or move as needed…use the tote for storage when not in use…..

Place towels on either side of the sink and you won't have to do so much wiping and the towels will soak up the water. Then just hang the towels and let them dry after you finish washing the dishes.

I think when women invest in a bus as their homes, I think they should invest in a shower. That would be the most important part of the build as a permanent home. On top of having a sufficient toilet. If you women no what I mean and being young too. Overall, the bus is very nice.

June 7, 2022 You might find a short term marketing job with Randy Jones at 'Incredible Tiny Homes' in Tennessee. He gave up on a marketer who refused to look at his You Tube channel before meeting with Randy. It takes only about one hour to learn his life story and his daily work building affordable tiny homes, recycling materials amap, trying to build caring communities. Olympic training river canoe rafters might consider buying a site and tow at his current site near a river which floods about one month per year. You will probably need a skoolie or van to leave about one month per year. All the other sites are away from water. He lost everything in the 2008 international crash and his friends helped him to gradually recover his business. His wife Amanda convinced him to stop building big homes and to 'go tiny.'
