I'm lucky to have a sealed copy of J Cash, and a mint 2 Eye Columbia that I spin ! Good job on getting Sly's set from Woodstock. And well said about the Airplane's performance that morning at Woodstock. The Dead's was a big mess and really pissed Fogerty off to this very day ! OMG.. Mobile Fidelity Fillmore East ABB.. Cool ! Lou Reed Rock n Roll Animal is what we cut our teeth on before I got into The VU ! David's first Live LP.. Is the best !

Great video. Love live albums. I've personally done many videos on the topic. Funny that to me Stones Marquee Club is amongst their worst performances, and my favorite period is the Mick Taylor years. Best part of that album was that it had the only live performance of I Got The Blues, but they did it again finally on their No Security tour on occasion. Great video.

I just bought 40 records from a friend of mine and there were a lot of live albums in the box including some Hendrix ones. I hardly ever listen to live albums but I might start to revisit all the ones I've got. That Johnny Cash at San Quentin is the only record by him I have now, I purged all the others as I figured that one did it all. That Sly Stone at Woodstock record looks very cool. Your copy of the Bangladesh boxset is in a lot better condition than mine. I read recently that Harrison was pissed off by one of the guys from Badfinger during that show because he also wore a white suit.

@vinylrichie007 Wow, I'm not familiar with that one. I'll have to check it out. I really don't listen to much live music unless I'm at a show. The last concert I went to was Elton John at Dogers Stadium, Dec 2022. He called it his farewell/yellow brick road tour. It was amazing! I hold a very dear spot in my heart for Pink Floyd and especially their "Dark Side of the Moon"album. I grew up hearing those alarm bells and high heels walking on pavement at 3 am. Had a single mom trippin on life, etc. playing certain albums over n over. We all know what I'm talking bout. Anyways, Alan Parsons produced Dark side. He's done some in front of the mic work, too. His "I Robot" album is my fave. I don't really care for some of his more "popular" songs, ie "Eye in the Sky". Check out "I wouldn't want to be like you", "Breakdown" or "The voice". All strong songs with great lyrics. Thanks for your response to my 1st comment n thanks if u read this chatty one too. Lol Nice chattin with ya Kristy

Richie, I did not know that '' Rock n' Roll Animal'' by Lou Reed was a live album. I saw that album in stores for many years, but just never examined it. It has two great guitarists, Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter. Lynyrd Skynyrd's live, ''One More From The Road'' is one of my favorite live albums, I first owned it on 8-track tape and now have the deluxe cd edition. The shows are from 1976, the band was red hot, three screaming guitars, excellent piano playing, anchored by solid bass lines and incredible drumming. Nobody steals the show, it's a true team effort directed by vocalist Ronnie Van Zant.
