I did a backflip for the first time today and it was pretty easy, I nailed it the first time without wimping out or anything. I recommend learning it on a trampoline first, because it is safe if you mess up. Once I was good at the backflip on the trampoline, when I went to do my backflip on flat ground. I used a really good banger and did it on the bass drop. Do it the first time, be bold, because the longer you wait the scarier it becomes

Itz Emz if you can easily do it landing legs straight and no tuck on tramp, you can do it if you can tuck really hard and get loads of height, get something soft and do it onto that, and when you can land that you take it away and do it

Thank you so much just learned my first backhand spring without a spotter! This means the world to me!
I haven't done parkour for a while now (at least 9 months) but since I'm starting to try out a lot of new things I think I might get into it again. Thanks for inspiring me!
The first time doing a backflip, it's one of the most scary things I've ever done.
Thanks so much Tapp Bros! I was in Rio when I first watched this and it felt so good to land my first back handspring on the beach of Copacabana haha. I even got up to my round off into two back handsprings! I will probably attempt the back flip tomorrow, but do you have any advice for how I can take some strain of my wrists? My right one gets a bit sore
Really impressive tips. Thank you so much!
I can already do a really good backflip on a trampoline without jumping, and I can already do the crooked cartwheel before I saw this video, but that's as far as I could get, then you upload this and it's the perfect thing for me, thanks so much!!!
It's weird because I can jump as high as I want in a swimming pool and always land on my feet but I can't do it on the ground. I feel like my brain knows that I won't hurt myself as badly if I was in water then if I was on the ground. I know I can do it, but my body and brain won't accept me from doing a backflip on the ground.

Thanks for another great video guys! In addition to the back bridge, 'camel pose' from yoga may help with the flexibility - kneel on the floor with your thighs straight up (so not sitting on your heels), push your hips forward and arch your back as far back as you can. If you have the flexibility, try to grab your ankles while you do it. (If you can't reach yet, just put your hands on the back of your hips to help push them forward and give your back a little support.)
