In this video we show you are top exercises that we recommend for you to train if you are a beginner and just getting started in parkour.
We call these exercises our solid 6 for parkour. These are workouts we used to build a solid base of coordination, strength, and mobility. We've picked up these exercises over the 10+ years of training.
Some of these exercises learned from others, like the butt scoot from Chau Belle, Laurent Piemontesi, and Yann Hnautra. The 3rd World squat from Ryan Ford with Apex Movement.
Check Out The Yamakasi and follow Majestic Force-
KZread: / majesticforceadda
Check Out Apex Movement and their gyms- www.apexmovement.com/
And others we picked up through our own training and what has helped our students.
By training these exercises consistently, you are going to see a dramatic increase in your functional strength, you will become more coordinated in the movements crucial for parkour, and you will gain more mobility and flexibility.
This will help give you the solid base of fitness for parkour. You will be able to pick up the parkour moves much easier. Learning more advanced parkour skills will click much faster. You will be able to last longer in parkour and reduce a lot of injuries.
As always train safe and see you in the next video!

So… Fun story. I've been watching these videos for two week or so and doing the exercises and stuff, so not very long at all. I'm not the most athletic or fit so I thought this would be a fun way to get in shape and learn a thing or two. Well, today my mom accidentally forgot the keys to the house, so we're all locked out. None of the doors or windows downstairs are open. I leave the windows to my room unlocked, by I'm on the second floor, so I thought "Hey, I've been doing that parkour exercise thing, why not try it out?" Long story short, I was able to get up on the roof without much of a problem thanks to the moves I learned from these videos and let everyone inside x3 Moral of the story: Parkour does have some extremely practical uses. Thanks Tapp Brothers!

Haha almost the same thing here. When our family came back from a vacation our electric gate stopped working so there is literally no way into our house except scaling the more than 2 meters tall wall so while my mum was busy calling the company I just gave climbing the walls a try and I did it :) only been doing the exercises for a month and it helped heaps

I really want to thank you guys. I had a stroke about 5years back and was told I would have to learn to live with it. I have always been heavily into exercise and still am. However, what you have given me is almost total recovery, I do QiGong and etc, I can not tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing. I know it may not be what you had in mind but God Bless you guys.

I'm a skateboarder, and when I saw my skater friends doing parkour at the skatepark, I was like, "when did you learn to do that?" And they said that they'd been watching the tapp brothers for a month or two. Then one backflipped off a ramp, and I was like... Yeah, I'm gonna watch the Tapp brothers. A week later, I'm able to jump higher, run faster, I'm stronger, and I can climb steep skateboard ramps. Thank you, Tapp brothers!

I want to say thank you for uploading this video. From when I was a child, I was able to climb to the top of the trees and jump from the roof of the garage, but when I moved to London I didn't have the opportunity and environment to continue and keep up my body strength. I always wanted to do parkour since I was a kid, but my mother told me not to because as all mothers do, she worries about my possible death. Slowly, I lost my strength and vent my energy to the Internet, not caring about myself at all that I fell into depression. I am so glad I found this video while scrolling through KZread. It gave me an inspiration and for the past twenty minutes I've been doing your exercise after watching your video and I already feel refreshed and there's a genuine smile on my face. So cheers. This video has given me hope to get over my depression.

I'm 12 years old and have been doing parkour for about 4 monthes. I can do a Kong, dash, reverse, Kash and lots of other wall, rail and vault things. The one thing I can not do is flips. I don't have any mats or stuff like that. How do I learn them? Please help. Also, am I still considered a beginer? I don't know whether I should keep looking up beginer videos, or move on to intermediate and advanced? Thanks for reading. Love your vids tap brothers. Your my biggest help and insperation.

I'm exactly the same as you I'm 13 years old I can do speed vault, side , turn , and kong vault. Also I can climb up walls up to 2 metres and I can do all the roll stuff like parkour roll, back roll and drop roll. Right now I train at side flip and I have made so much Progress so don't give up and train safe. Also we are both intermediate . But, keep looking at begginer videos to see stuff that can help thanks for reading Daniel Carlson

You could try a trampoline. Or if you have a bean bag (or whatever you call them in America) you could use them or maybe a soft sofa. Otherwise, try researching a parkour or freerunning club around you. Hope this helped.

Amazing practical moves! I had been trained years ago with the same exercises just different names. Like 'third world squats' we called 'kimchi squats', and then dragon crawls, crab walks. Many of the exercises and drills you men exhibit are the very same I was trained in martial arts. We had to be able to navigate anything in the field not just fighting. Thanks for an excellent exhibition of these very effective maneuvers.

+Kaiser Adam it will last a week or two. Do some breaks the first days like one day yes one no. If you cant do vertical push ups start with normal push ups. When you are able to do 10 take a chair and do push ups with your legs on the chair. when you can do 10 go to something higher. take it slow..

I'm glad I pretty much can do all of this. I gotta work on the ass walk or whatever it's called. And the one where you walk through your arms. I have her good squat mobility but walking through my arms is difficult lol.

Great video! The biggest thing that interferes with my training is shin splints. Do you guys have any tips/exercises for strengthening lower legs and avoiding shin splints?

+tappbrothers I've watched your videos and I see y'all do flips and stuff and I've been in tumbling before but I quit, and I regret it; however, I wanted to start again but what drills and stuff should I do to get started and better?

I want to do parkour because I like how much close to flying it is, besides you feel awesome. Also, I want to show my friend who doesn't believe in me that I can do it. :3
