Yeah I hear this, thanks for keeping it real! It burns me up that wealthy go-getters in this country get to buy up the best places and the easy going regular people have to live in Tampa/ elsewhere! As if inheritance, entitlement, and luck don't have anything to do with it. Working like crazy just to live somewhere you can stare at the mountains out the window is not my ideal. That was the bane of ski town living! I think I have a different jam in mind now than moving to the Front Range, but I still look forward to visiting the CO Rockies this year.

1 Money! 2 Money! 3 Money! It's Beautiful all of colorado stayed in golden and denver and the mining towns walked to the top of loveland pass in June with snow over my knees had to stop every 20 feet iowans are not used to the altitude. 🥴

I bought a 4 wheel drive Toyota Tundra, you really need 4 wheel drive. Especially in the mountains. Ive lived in the Tampa Bay area and there is a lot to do there also.

The disappointing aspect of this is that only approx 10%---22% of viewers/subbies hit the thumb up symbol and you--tubers who have their shows do not see the realistic full contingent of actual viewers. watching them. As mentioned,,,this is disappointing and very frustrating for you guys who do the hard yards and I can possibly put this down to 2 reasons (( based on my own personal feelings )) and that is on so many,,many occasions I forget to hit the thumb up button,,,and/or whilst viewing I say to myself I will do it after it finishes.and forget. the median income per household in CO is $75,000 one year after this video was posted so at least half of the people there figure out living on less than $106,000 a year per household let alone per person. Im not disputing how much it costs there, housing is expensive for sure but i live in a pretty unremarkable area near a dying US city known for its crime and light beer and the cost to live in the worst part of this town of 10,000 with a 30 mile drive to the downtown area is a minimum of $900 a month and every cost of living besides housing is higher here than Colorado. I'd just say look at your own situation and your current area and make a comparison rather than focus on some ideal minimum salary. You know your own finances better than anyone (hopefully).

So as a teacher, would my family and I have to live in a single wide trailer? Because last I checked, teachers in Colorado don’t make $100k a year.

Some do after they build up some time in a particular district 😉 I used to work for Boulder Valley School District and many high school teachers made over 6 figures in the school I was in... but that was because they’d been there at least 10 or so years. But since you’re new, it does mean you might have to get creative with housing. Or find a way to have more than income supporting your family. It sucks, I know. But many new teachers in Colorado do find ways to make it work!

@@GenevieveClough Thank you! We’re in Portland, Oregon and teachers here make pretty decent money, but the cost of living here is crazy. Median house prices are crazy. And Portland is no longer a place we want to live in or raise our daughter in. Colorado is on the top of our list, but the cost of living/lower teacher wages are a bit scary. Thank you for your input and insight into working for the Boulder school district over there!

I’ve lived in PA and visited Colorado several times. Colorado has mountains. Pennsylvania has big hills...

Also as far as with the money situation not everybody is fortunate to be rich especially with the politics default we're about to head through in the US pretty soon some money doesn't matter anymore it seems like.

The really limiting factor for growth here in Colorado is water and that is getting worse with climate change. We need a comprehensive water use plan. Right now it’s all based on who can afford it, so we have farmers selling their water rights to golf courses.

As far as with the attitude it's good to have more of a positive attitude by the looks of it Colorado wouldn't be the state I would never want to move to LOL leave me in Scranton Pennsylvania I'm good here. But I love the scenery of Colorado especially in fort Collins.

Another Native - sick of people changing our incredible lifestyle - this started with John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. Not to mention real people can be hard to find. Plastic people are abundant.

It doesn't matter where you live, it changes everywhere every year...if you drive through the places that don't change, its rarely as romantic as it sounds.

Unfortunately blind people or people with certain disabilities that do have sight can I drive a car.

Let’s see $1,500 for an 1 bedroom in Boulder, and $4,500 in Manhattan … hmmmmm

I think if I had to pick my least favorite state to live in out of all of our 50 states it would be Colorado. I don't want to live there, I'd rather go live in the mountain somewhere anywhere but Colorado
