3 Simple Steps to Improve English Speaking! How to Improve English Speaking Skills! Speak English!
The 3 steps to improve English speaking in today’s lesson are guaranteed to help you increase your English communication skills and speak English fluently! I often hear many of the students ask, “How can I improve my English speaking?” In today’s English lesson this question will be answered by explaining three simple steps that you should use to become a better English speaker and improve your confidence in speaking English.
This English lesson has two main parts. The beginning of the lesson explains how my three step process for improving speaking works. The second half of the lesson contains an English exercise to help you practice speaking English using the three steps. You will get to practice speaking using an inspirational story I created about an experience I had, which I hope will also motivate you as you study English.
Step One: Listen and Read! Make sure you have matching text and audio. Listen to the audio and follow along with the text. Focus on the pronunciation of each word. Pay attention to where the speaker puts emphasis on certain words. Listen for the speaker’s intonation in each sentence. Think about where the speaker pauses, speaks quicker, or changes their volume.
Step Two: Listen, Stop, Repeat! Listen again to the same audio recording. Find places to stop the audio and repeat exactly what you heard. Try to copy the speaker in the audio and sound the same as them. Remember to pay attention to your pronunciation, emphasis, and intonation.
Step Three: Shadowing Practice! Play the same audio again, but this time don’t look at the text. Also, don’t stop the recording. Listen and speak at the same time. Let the audio start and after a few words or a sentence begin repeating. It is difficult to listen and repeat simultaneously, but this step really helps to improve your English!
The motivational story in this lesson will provide you with a chance to practice these steps to enhance your English speaking increase your English fluency. I hope that you will feel inspired by the speaking exercise and the motivational quote included in it. The inspirational quote included in the lesson is, “Strength doesn't come from the things you can do, it comes from overcoming the things that you thought you couldn’t.” Even if your English is not perfect, don’t give up. Keep trying your best to overcome the difficulties you’re facing with improving your English and look forward to success. I hope you will feel motivated by this lesson.
By the end of today’s English lesson you will have learned 3 simple steps to improve your English speaking and sound like a native English speaker. This lesson will help you to become more fluent in English and provide you with motivational speaking practice. Thank you for watching, “3 Simple Steps to Improve English Speaking! How to Improve English Speaking Skills! Speak English!” I hope my process for improving speaking will be useful for you as you increase your English fluency and hopefully become inspired by the motivational story in this lesson. Good luck with your English studies!

Question of the Day: Please share some inspirational words or motivational quotes that you think might help others. My answer: In addition to the quote by Rikki Rogers featured in this lesson, "Strength doesn't come from what you can do. It comes from overcoming the things you thought you couldn't." I also really like Walt Disney's motivational quote, "If you can dream it, you can do it."

"Failure is the best teacher." This quote taught me not to be afraid of making mistakes while learning a new language and discovering its funtions, especially during my high-school years. And I ask everybody keep in mind that mistakes, which are the natural complements of learning a new language , help people to make progress 🙃

Jen, thank you! Intonations are really crucial in speaking a foreign language. Each language has its own "music" and to sound more natural imitating this music is as important as pronouncing words correctly or following grammar rules.

I have this sentence always on my mind that I have been using it past years whenever I had to participate in any exam and that is: I want All. In my Point of view this simple sentence emphasis on your desires and why you started this journey at the first place. I have always been a motivated student and never stopped learning and every time I need to boost my energy I reminded myself this sentence. I want All, then I'll start again and again. And continue to accomplish my goals.

Stay safe and healthy. 👍🏻 (PS. Just a small point, but be careful of the differences between 'you're / you are', and 'your'. You're is a subject pronoun with the 'be' verb and must be followed by a verb with -ing or an adjective. Your is the possessive to show that something belongs to someone and must be followed with a noun. 😉 You're a kind person. I appreciate your comment.)
