Well, as a Padres fan, he also has his days when he goes 0-4 against the Dodgers like last Wednesday. Luckily, his teammates wore out the Swag Chain for him, and often do!

Fernando Tatis Jr contract is incredible, he has potential to make the San Diego Padres one of the most valuable teams in all of sports. Similar to Steph Curry with the Warriors. He gets a sold out stadium and is a huge part of the Padres success in winning games. Even if you hate Tatis this is essential for MLB

@Pen Island yes it can and yes it will. I’m from the Bay Area, huge Warriors fan but tatis is so much more exciting to watch than curry. I think his impact will be greater than currys. Curry never got out of lebrons shadow as face of nba. Tatis has the potential to make MLB a globally popular league/sport the way Jordan did with the nba. Never seen a baseball player in the social media age bring so much attention and new fans. His swag, his style, and overall his skills are insanely fun to watch. This guy is ELITE in all parts of the game (speed, hitting, throwing, fielding). Curry is just an elite shooter.

Got into baseball this year because of The Show 21 and honestly Ohtani Vlad and Tati's Jr are unreal to watch. They are so damn fun.

I dont know.... Seeing kid that caught the third home run ball, him and his dad, both wearing Tatis Jerseys AND Gloves in the fan area, both jumping up and down like 10 year olds. THIS is why I love baseball. The joy. The emotion. Actually got me choked up.

many fans my age don't go in for what they call "hot-dogging" but I am actually becoming a fan of this kid and this team. they have character and charisma and exuberance which makes being just a baseball fan in general fun again. hope they get to continue to have this fun deep into the playoffs and perhaps bring a title to a city so desperately deserving of one.

This foreign substance ban might be really good for baseball in the long term. I think it's smart they are getting rid of it. No casual fan appreciates a 3000 spin rate curveball, they want to see offense. The pitching has gotten out of hand and I think we are about to see some big money guys starting to get rocked around a little more.

@@philipwilliams7945 Obviously there are other very solid teams to watch out for (Giants, Red Sox, Tampa Bay, Astros, etc.), but the Padres are just an all-around fun team to watch. The electric energy and atmosphere at Petco Park is unlike any other. They’re the reason I started following baseball again.

Fernando Tatis Jr is box office he’s gonna get people that don’t watch baseball to start watching it. MLB actually listened to the critics that said they need to better promote their players, and they’re doing a great job. Only thing MLB needs to do now is have clips of plays be more accessible. Like House of Highlights does for the NBA. If they can do that MLB has the potential to be the number one sport in terms of popularity

@@theryan519 it’s happened before. The only reason baseball lost its crown as #1 was because of failure to modernize and evolve. While other sports went and changed to bring new fans baseball stayed the same. Don’t say it’s not possible when baseball was #1 in America for over a century

Padres had an extremely disappointing end to the 2021 season. But for those of you who didn’t get to experience it, for most of the season, being at a padre game at petco in 2021 was one of the most exciting things you’ve ever seen. It was like seeing the Beatles in 1966 or something.

Being a Padres fan has not been sweet, especially after watching the Chargers just up and leave. I'm glad they built Petco👏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾. I'm glad they chose to finally spend some money and get a team that competitive. I feel for the Dbacks organization, but we were them a lot in past years🤷🏾‍♂️.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is one of the best three or four players in the league, but he is the best leader I've ever seen in this very individual team-sport. Although Mookie Betts deserves credit in this regard also but Tatis gets everyone in that dugout hyped up. He is so great for this game. We are truly lucky to have him and Shohei join the league at the same time.

Beisbol is so 🔥 rn. Guerrero, Tatis, Ohtani, Degrom. Who will be the HR king? MVP? If Degrom has a few bad games, there's even an argument over the Cy young award. As entertaining as its ever been!

The fan reaction after the 3rd HR was such a beautiful thing to see and hear. Glad the ballparks have energy again!

This makes baseball fun. No matter what team you root for no matter where you are in the world this kid is electric. Reminds me of the late 90s when home runs were such a big part of the game. What a stud.

I've gone to the last two, going to the next two. The energy level for game 3 against the dodgers was like something I've never experienced. (I live in WA so soaking it up while I'm back in town.

My daughter gave me Padres tickets for Fathers Day. I’m lucky I got to see this game live. Petco Park is always a good time.

I am Cincinnati Reds fan but I respect what Fernando Tatis Jr. Is doing for the Sandiego Padres! I think the Padres has a ligit shot at making a World Series debut this year possibly could go all of the way I just have a strange feeling about it but the NY Mets, LA Dodgers, the Milwaukee Brewers, & the Atlanta Braves are all very tough but it would be nice too see the Padres make a run & this team I believe this year could possibly pull it off! The Reds are a very talented team they have some great starting pitchers but unfortunately their bullpen blows leads & the Reds could win tons of games but it is what it is but at least they're playing better now then they started this season

It is really good to see Tatis n Kim get along very well...

Fernando misses 20 games and is tied in home runs with 25. An amazing player I tell you

Played college Baseball DE, haven't watched baseball in 20 yrs. This guy, Showei, got me watching again1

I know it sounds silly.. but when I was 12 we were playing in the little league championship game. Had an undefeated season. I played 3rd base and my best buddy on the team was our catcher steve.. And in the first 3 rotations he hit 3 homers in 3 at bats. I know it was just a little league championship.. but I have know doubt he now tells his grandkids that story with the same starry eyes that AL BUNDY has when he recalls his 4 touchdowns lol. what a great memory to always be able to.looknback on.
