Actually it was a bad pitch as in, Max did not want that location. On pretty much any left handed hitter, down and in is a bad location as most leftys have a natural golf shot swing. But like i said, max didn't want to go down and in, he was trying to go away as pretty much the whole at bat he was throwing down and away.

Amazing. Simply amazing. Daniel was a 20 round pick out of HighSchool in 2011. The ups and downs, released by different organizations at least 4 times, crappy hotels, bus rides, food, wondering all the while if he would ever get his chance during 11 long years in the minors. You can tell he’s been through the grind of the minors by the humility he showed during the post game interview. Bravo Daniel!

Dropped the bat and let it do the work. Reminds me of Gibson's walk-off against Eck. Same swing, same pitch location. Was epic to watch live.

That's not tough for a lefty. It was right in his natural swing and that's why Max was going down and away the whole at bat. That one just got away from him.
