@@DdotRay86 Jose Fernandez, who was a young rising star pitcher for the Miami Marlins baseball team, was killed in a boating accident. He was a team favorite and a fan favorite, even fans of other teams and a favorite of other players. Dee Gordon (a left-handed batter) was the leadoff batter of their first game following Fernandez' death and stood in the right-handed battery's box, and I believe he was wearing Fernandez' batting helmet, to take the first pitch of the game. This was followed by Gordon hitting a home run, which was (and still is) a very emotional moment for him and his teammates, and baseball fans alike.

(disclaimer: I am a Jays fan just outside Toronto, and was watching the game live) The Bautista home run needs to be watched in the context of the entire inning which was over an hour long and full of emotion from both sides. Top of the inning had a throw by Jays catcher Martin to second go off the batter's bat, and allowed the go-ahead run to score. Umpire review held the call of no batter interference. Three errors by the Rangers in the bottom half, should have ended the inning before Bautista even came to the plate. Every other team sport has celebrations for great plays. This was easily a top 10 moment in baseball history. It was bat flip worthy.

Dee Gordon’s home run is unlike any other. What a moment
4:52 the right fielder flipping over the wall like a cartoon character gets me every time. And the home run was so big that his effort gets not even a mention from the commentators.

Joe Buck borrowed that from his father, Jack Buck, who made that call when Kirby Puckett walked off Game 6 of the 1991 World Series. A perfect homage in a perfect moment.
Those mid 2010s blue jays teams had an excitement level I’m not sure I’ve seen elsewhere in modern baseball. That Bautista home run is the most insane I’ve ever seen a baseball stadium become

Watching Rizzo stuff the ball in his pocket is priceless
I'm really surprised the Red Sox winning the 2004 world series doesn't live rent free on these videos. Even if you aren't a Sox fan, that moment was one of the most amazing times.
Moments like these will live on in every Baseball fan’s hearts
I was at the game where Mike Piazza hit that home run. When the ball cleared the fence, every single human screamed in joy and the stadium was shaking from everyone jumping. Incredible moment.
Man every time i see Dee Gordon's homerun puts a lump in my throat thats hard to swallow. Best sport ever!! ❤⚾️. #16 R.I.P. ✌🏽
Nice video I’ve seen that Marlins one a 100 times and I still get goosebumps.
The Jose Bautista home run bar flip still gives me goosebumps
I was at the Nats last game of the season in 2016 and it was a very emotional time there too. I wrote JF16 on the side of my Nats cap in silver sharpie. I still have it and think of him sometimes

Dee’s home run was very touching, but Piazza’s was about a nation that was mourning and frightened and angry. We needed some normal. Baseball is that normal.
I was at the Ortiz Slam game. Most decibels i've heard from a crowd. Ever.
I’m so glad they have the Delmon Young play on here…absolute chills every time as an Orioles fan
I mean ALWAYS the final out of the Cubs World Series. BUT, an honorable mention to me is Javier Baez hitting the HR against Cueto in the 8th of the NLDS
As much as I love Hernandez's Perfect game, as a Mariner's fan... nothing gets the goosebumps going more than Dave Niehaus calling the 95 Slide.

Love Chipper's walk-off against Paplebon! The call makes it even better! Edit: Should have added Brooks Conrad walk-off slam against the Reds in 2010.
The night where Baltimore came from behind to beat Boston which opened the door for Tampa to take the division away from the Yankees is still one of the greatest series of events in baseball history. Regardless of who you cheer for, true lovers of the game will appreciate forever the way that night unfolded.
Bautistas bat flip was insane
Delmon youngs double will always be my favorite playoff moment in terms of atmosphere. The crowd scream gets me every time
Game 7, 2001, I was 9 years old and will never forget that moment.
The emotional range of these clips is impressive.
More impressive & touching to me than Dee’s homer, was Bartolo’s 85 MPH fastball right down the middle. Look at his body language after Dee makes contact.. I’m convinced Bartolo served him up a meatball & gifted him that opportunity.
Gibby's shot and Vin's call gives me goosebumps every time.
Seven years later, I still thought Bryant was going to throw that ball over Rizzo's head.😰
If tori hunter catches that ball that’s the best catch in MLB history
I will never forget the Cueto chant. Us pirates fans have been through so much, it’s something we will never forget
First clip still gives me the chills. I’d also recommend adding 2020 WS game 4 finish and 2022 NLDS Cronenworth single and Freeman strikeout

Coming from a Braves fan, Piazza's HR was perfect. It's the only time the Mets beat us that I was happy with, because the city of NY needed that way more than the Braves.
Nice way to end it too, with Kirk Gibson miracle shot!
As a Braves fan that Chipper Jones walk off was amazing. His last great moment. I hate that his final season ended in a infield fly. Chipper will always be my favorite player.
The most emotional moment for me is Kirk Gibson's entire walk up and at bat in the 1988 World Series...
Dee Gordon who never hits for power said “I got this boys”. Tear jerker for sure
these literally gave me goosebumps

I'm from Cleveland so this is completely unbiased, but I hope that Pittsburgh and Baltimore get back to the playoffs. I believe that baseball is a better sport and more exciting when those teams are good. Even though their attendance may not always be there, they have incredible fans that deserve a winner.
All these years later, I still get emotional when watching Dee's homer.
The David freese triple in the 9th and homer in the 11th is one of the craziest things I’ve watched on live TV
Kinda disappointed I didn't see Joe Carter's world series winning home run. Such a great call, too, "Touch em all Joe, you'll never hit a bigger home run in your life!"

I was at that game when Chipper walked it off. It was his last one 💪🏻 landed about 50 ft from me. One of the best experiences of my life 💯💯💯
Joe Carter’s game winning HR should be on the list.
Way to finish with the one and only, Vin Scully. Go Dodgers.
2 minutes in…I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥺😭. Jose’s death rocked sports news for weeks. No one could believe it. Someone guaranteed for MVPs and a Hall of Fame career cut far too short. RIP
Nothing beats the Orioles slide at home being called safe.

Almost got teared up after the Dee home run.
For anyone to young to remember or know mike piazzas home run 9/21 2001 TEN days after the worst attack since Pearl Harbor he for that moment helped ease a country. Kids today don’t know the world before 9/11 everything changed that day and for mike one of the most beloved players to hit a homerun like that it was incredible
David Ortiz’s grandslam was just as clutch as it gets!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Props to bartolo on the dee Gordon homerun. He knew what was up. 85 mph fastball right down the cock. Respect
Kirby Puckett home run should have been on here! Rest were great though
