@@pdp5552 I attended game four of the NLCS against Atlanta in San Diego. SD was up 3-0 and looked like it was going to be a four game sweep. Qualcomm Stadium (totally enclosed by then) was ROCKIN'. I mean ROCKIN'. Literally shaking. Never heard or experienced anything like it. Almost 70,000 people going crazy starting before the game. Only got louder until....Andres Galarraga hit a bomb for a grand slam. Could hear a pin drop after that.

If he didn't throw a ball on Turner's at bat, he would have pitched his second career immaculate inning. I'm glad he's found a foothold after his rough start.

Let’s not go overboard. Only casuals thought Hader had somehow gone off a cliff. It’s rare for any player to be traded, move to a new city, new program, new schedule, new facilities, new coaches, new teammates, new time zone, new house, new community, new everything and then just flawlessly be ok and pick up where they left off. Almost all pitchers see a downturn when they are first traded. There is no redemption arc because Hader never left.

Those "Beat L.A." chants really lived up to the hype.

Lived in SD for 10 years and followed the Padres, went to their games even when they were pretty bad. In high school moved to ATL and became a Braves fan, but still always followed the Padres. Congrats Padres. Nice to see you guys advance.

Pretty cool to find another Padres/Braves fan out there. My early childhood years were spent in North Carolina so I’ve been a Braves fan for just over two decades. Then I moved near San Diego when I was 10 and became a Padres fan about a year after. As for this postseason, seeing the Pads beat LA definitely took away the sting of Atlanta succumbing to Philly.

@@ellispeter5449 SD clearly got away with murder on this one. Both Lamet and Rogers were horrible. Rogers started out very good but towards the middle of the season he was blowing saves and and couldn't get people out. He had to go and I'm amazed the Brewers even took him. The prospects are better than Rogers and Lamet.

I'm so happy for the Padres and Hader and especially there fans I'm a life long mets fan and this team played great I'm a fan of them this post season go get it fellas.

You're asking Human beings to perform at their highest level in front of a crazed crowd of thousands. It's incredible that they continue to perform at a high level. This was the first time I have seen San Diego have a true home field advantage. I'm sure all the players appreciated it.

I know the season was a combo of things, a lot injuries, losing streak after June 1, and the Hader trade did something to the locker room. So I think the Hader trade was icing on the cake. Funny thing is I was about to buy a Hader jersey a week before he was traded but didn’t. A least the owner sees the affect of this trade.

As a Giants fan, this hurts a bit. On the bright side, we won a WS when the Dodgers were NL West champions in 2014.

They won 3 in a row ! All hard games let’s be honest the LAD are super good because it took EVERYTHING IN THE PADRES POWER TO WIN THIS. Shows how good the Padres are.

I was home sick laying on my couch watching this series. When they won this game, the whole area around my house was going nuts. Lots of yelling, fire crackers/fireworks, honking. Man it was awesome. Getting goosebumps again watching this

I was there, and I've never seen SD so electrified! It was absolutely awesome!

This game was over after that 7th and the rain pouring down. All the dodgers face looked shell shocked and so dejected. It was at that moment they all realized it’s over! BEAT LA!!

The bromance in Baseball is epic. The Padres have been determined to beat LA for years with seemingly endless failure. Got them when nobody would imagine. Good for Hader. It was really tough to see the kid go through that blown save against the Nats. This LCS between the two bottom tier teams should be super lit. I’ll be on the bandwagon of either.

111 wins and nothing to show for! Ker-choke-tober making his annual appearance! Soto coming thru clutch and Hader with ice in his veins, just awesome!

Go and take this thing Padres. Amazing that you beat a team that had beaten you so many times over the course of the last few years. I loved the energy in the stadium and congrats! . I'm hoping for a San Diego/Cleveland WS. Odds are that won't happen, but who knows?

Glad the padres won, all the love to Hader but let's not forget about robert suarez.. that dude balling out to.

What's with Kershaw's reaction? Seems to be feigning disappointment. He probably had a vacation scheduled already knowing they'd choke.

To see and hear that crowd and the coaches hugging been a long time coming it's great to watch

In 1 inning, Josh Hader struck out 3 key contributors to 3 of the last 4 World Series championship teams, who all played on the same 111-win Dodgers team. If the Padres win at all, this inning will go down in baseball history. Mark my words.
