3 Fun Ways To Catch Bass Inshore On A Boat - A Guide

Спорт

Welcome to a video I have wanted to make and explain to you all for a while which is 3 ways to catch Bass on a boat inshore. Now these 3 ways are a few of my favoured ways to catch them and is not the only ways but live baiting, Trolling and my favourite method the float are all easy to do and fun especially when it all comes together.
While conditions were not ideal this day for two of these methods I do explain in quite a lot of detail how you can go out and put it into practice in your local area and have fun catching Bass.
I hope you enjoy it and find it useful and as a,ways any questions don’t hesitate to ask away.

Good morning 🌅 Thanks for watching and for the nice comment i appreciate that and while I do try to catch fish 24/7 some days it just doesn’t go like that as you know and it’s important to show those days too I think but that’s a good series idea I shall have a think on that 😃

I find when you get a good fish on the first drift it’s either going to be a great day or a really really tough day 😂

Excellent video again Ben…we do live baiting and lures on the floats for bass off the needles lighthouse. My favourite way of fishing …the may rot is still hanging around into June rot! so not ideal. On a good day the bass can be so prolific on live baits (pout &scad) they’ll take a lure to …great way to fish as long as all anglers onboard are on the same page …6 rods 4 takes on the same drift can be chaotic !great fishing all the same 👍

Thank you Colin for watching! it’s my favourite way to catch them too even over Topwaters controversially to some 😂 I didn’t do any last year but will hammer it more this year it’s just a shame that Rot has been so bad this year or this day would of been abit more productive for them!

Great day out on the water the fish are a bonus, sadly we don’t get much bass up in the northeast of Scotland, I have heard of the odd schoolie getting caught from the shore. Please don’t laugh we got our first dog fish yesterday so maybe the bass will follow 🤞

A first anything is always memorable mate as good or bad you don’t forget it 😂 I’m not sure how far round the Bass get going up the country mate but I hear of the odd one or two but they are certainly not like they’re here in the south!

I've been enjoying your posts and videos Ben, very instructional and inspiring. I've recently started fishing out of Sovereign Harbour from a Seadoo Fish Pro Jet-Ski. I've only had one small Pollock so far and particularly want to get into the Bass and Mackerel this summer. I'm not really sure which area and technique to focus on but have gear suitable for slow pitch jigging, lures, feathers etc. Any basic tips and advice most welcome. 🐟

Hey Steve thanks for the nice words mate. To be honest you can do any method i do on the ski it just sounds like it’s the marks or areas you need and the navionics boating app will help with that to find the reefs or wrecks and then it’s a case of just putting it all into practice! Mackerel haven’t really been about untill now and simple feathers will get plenty of them and the bass and the pollack you can choose any method and get out there and practice it! Slow jigging requires abit more practice than a traditional lure setup but I have quite a few wrecking videos showing how to set up and fish these if you’re interested but also fishing close in on the reefs will also get you plenty of fish on lures or baits!

Thanks for your reply and meaningful advice Ben. You're right, I've struggled to get my chartplotter and Navionics up and running properly, so haven't been sure what I was fishing over. I'll keep watching your excellent videos and let you know how I get on.

Hi Ben Still pretty tough going out there at the moment. Got a nice 8lb 11oz Bass last Wednesday on a wreck 4 miles off the head. Caught on a 40gr jig using a 7-28gr spinning rod with a 2500 reel. That was quite fun. Otherwise just Pout and a few small mackerel. Regards Trevor

@@theamputeeangler Yeah the weather has been a bummer recently. I'm now away until the end of the month, hopefully it will settle down by then. That bass is double the size of my previous best. I was only using a small jig and was praying that the hooks held. Once I landed it the jig fell out in the net so I was really lucky.
