I always used to fish the waggler and the stick float when I was growing up on the rivers around the london area 40 yrs ago🤣🤣🤣and before poles existed , everyone used a waggler/stick float rod ! I fish mainly lakes nw,and use the pole most of the time,as presentation ,feeding is alot easier!and there is nothing better than watching the elastic stretch. Over xmas I got a 13ft waggler rod as a present which I used on my club lakes and loved it, I still think the waggler has a job at distances, and I do like the pellet waggler in the middle of summer, Great video mick,👍

I always pack a waggler rod. I've said so many times 'I'm feeder fishing today!' But out comes the waggler. Something more magical about the waggler for me. Doesn’t matter if it's Gudgeon theres always that surprise that could come on the waggler. A delight to watch this, Mick's enthusiasm is infectious. Putting together some cracking videos recently even the ones with Joe in! 😂😂😂 Plenty more to come I hope.👍

Useful tips for beginners. A better way to keep a check on the depth is not to mark your rod but to do this. Use two sliding float stops above the float then you can use the upper one as a depth marker and if you want to fish shallower you can adjust the lower float stop and still use the upper one as you plumbed depth marker. Tight lines.

I get a buzz seeing the float tip disappear. I don't river fish now and only pole fish short. 9mts.max. I get no enjoyment holding long lengths of carbon. • @NuFish

What is the tactic for sinking line when you cast to the edge of the lilys for tench. If you sink the tip and wind you are out of the feeding zone, when they will often only feed right near the pads on a bright day. Is there a ‘sinking ‘ line I can use? Good video.

  • @NuFish

Detexion sinks well so would be a great bet. Sinking the rod tip and sharply lifting it can sink the line without drawing the float back too far
