Pike Fishermen MUST Watch This Video!

Ойын-сауық

It was finally time to do some more underwater filming for pike! After my last underwater video I really wanted to get out and see how fish would react to baits in the cooler waters. We also take a look at different bait and presentations. For example sea baits, fresh waters baits, popped up and laid on the bottom to see how the fish react and how they take It. Its a must watch if you like bait fishing for pike!

A person must be baptized to be saved, but it has nothing to do with water. The proof is found below. Eating Kosher is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Circumcision of male children is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Trimming your beard according to the Law of Moses is not unbiblical, but it is not required under the New Covenant. Water baptisms were a part of the Old Covenant, but they are not required under the New Covenant. The proof is found below. John baptized with water. Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit. Which one is related to salvation, based on Romans 8:9? . Heb. 9:10 (YLT) only in victuals, and drinks, and different baptisms, and fleshly ordinances-till the time of reformation imposed upon them . (Old Covenant ------> New Covenant) . Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (What is the one baptism of our faith here, based on Eph. 1:12-13, and 1 Cor. 12:13?) . Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, . 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. . Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. . Act 11:15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. . Act 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (See Mark 1:8.)

From Northern Ontario where Pike abound this was an excellent video on how pike react as they get ready to strike. I’ve been lucky to have caught pike ranging from 20-29 pounds. I work in a fishing tackle store and I tell my customers that pike prefer dead bait. Dead bait gives them time to size up their next meal. Nothing beats a dead bait under a float for pike fishing. I still get a thrill as the bobber dances on the surface then plunges under as the pike hammers the bait! Awesome underwater video I really enjoyed it!

I think it is because the bait is stationary. If it thought the bait was swimming away I think it would be more inclined to strike. I saw a weird interaction between a cat and a pigeon one time. The cat was aggressively approaching the pigeon and clearly wanted to jump it, but the pigeon just slowly walked away every time the cat got close. It approached the bird probably 5 times over 2 minutes but did not attack. The cat was not seeing an expected fear response in its prey and didn't know what to do.

@@juliogonzo2718 Could be that, predators don't like prey that are not afraid because they may be dangerous prey. Or as interdiction said, it's been caught before and learning plus there is a camera in the water and fish know their surroundings, that may also scare them off. They're also familiar with their normal prey and neither of those bait fish really belonged.....which could be another red flag for a predator.

As a life long pike fisherman I learned a few things about pike 1- there are days pike just does not feed 2- pike natural bail is the best bait . 3- moving bail always beats the static bait . That is why you catch more pike with spinning lure than dead baiting . Of course life baiting is a a very killing method too. In the winter on a lake find a sunny shallow spot that sun is shining at and if there is a pike about they will be there . Pikes love the sun in the winter.Your underwater video was brilliant… thanks for that

@@mergru6371I’ve been watching both creators for years and they both create for different purposes. Indeed, Carl launched a new channel to compete with Chris’ of the day to day angler vibe rather than the epic over edited films of the old Carl and Alex genre. The ginger fisherman takes you along to the bank and gets the action we all want to see in real time. I appreciate sometimes that it is filmed over more than one session and long sessions at that but we are there all the while. Some of the smaller channels are really interesting. Lured by Esox’s is a brilliant hybrid of both types. Sean and Catherine take you along and also produce cracking films. We see the problems with some creators DB fishing being one. Basically too much casting and retrieving in go pro with very little "B roll”. I take into consideration that all of these guys don’t like to advertise their locations for obvious reasons but too many close shots are boring. As long as good creators keep producing what is interesting I’ll keep watching.

I have the same result as you do: best results (by far) are with a dead bait, lying very close or straight on the bottom. I usually set my bait 6-12 inch (15-30cm) of bottom. Even half of a big dead bait works. But the key things are really big dead baits, no action/mouvement. It was pretty cool seeing these shots! Great video!

Great underwater footage & really interesting to see how some pike take a long time to suss out the situation ( especially with the frozen mackerel) . Interesting too to see how prevalent the leeches are on pike compared to other coarse fish. I often used to see this whenever I used to fish for pike. However I rarely saw any on perch and never on tench. .

i often fish for pike and perch, however ive never used deadbaits, a tutorial would be a great idea, setting up the different rigs and what equipment would be best, great video as always , you and snagged bro are must watch for fishing rivers and canals, the two best channels out there

I spent my childhood fishing for northern pike, pickerel and small mouth in Northern Ontario, as my parents had a hunting and fishing camp. We did all sorts of fishing, still/drifting, casting, trolling etc. and had many good days as well as our share of days being "skunked". I always wished I could see what the heck was going on "down there"! :) Nice vid! Man, I wish I could go back to those days! A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office!

Pike have really good vision, so my guess is he could tell the difference between the mackerel and the roach, also predator fish do prefer to hunt so the roach being hole could have helped if he thought it might be alive. fascinating video to watch, i watched some guy put a live fish in a see through cube and place that on the bottom of the lake, and the pike was going mental for it and kept striking the cube trying to get the fish.

Here in Southern Ontario, Canada, we fish for Pike and Muskie using LIVE minnows, very large minnows. And the bait is presented LIVE, not dead. Pike are not carrion eaters, they are hunters.....they want LIVE BAIT. So, even if your bait fish has died, hook it just under the top fin, and jig it occasionally, to give it the appearance that it is alive. You will get must better more often bites and catch far more.

I'm a southern Ontario guy too and while I agree with your statement in general, of the thousands of pike I've caught over many years, the biggest was ironically caught fishing a dead perch as bait from a dock at night as a kid! Just cast it out beyond the drop off, out the rod in the dock pole and wait! Caught many huge Bowfin doing that as well!

Dormant (leaches) rise in temp so maybe yet well fed ?? how much pressure with those fish capture marks on the fish ?? so many questions

Hey i have a question, when the pike just nibbles at the fish like that, how does the hook set work? Because wait too long, the fish swallows the hook, and wait too little the bait comes out the fish's mouth and the fish runs away. Or does it have to do with how you put the hook on the bait, so that when it's eating it hooks itself?

I think a video showing how fish react to baits presented on different ground, weed/ gravel/ silt etc would be excellent and a guide on how to present the bait in relation to the ground, love the videos. 👍
