Thanks for taking the time to make these. I’m a coarse angler, but looking to get into a bit of boat fishing when I (finally) retire. Now THAT is a fish that saves everybodies day. I realy like your video's because you never use faul language. Only thing that surprises me is that so many fisherman ignore the great taste of a poutingfillet. Here in Holland we call them wrakrats but i find them fried in batter far better than many other "white" fish. Anyway a most enjoyable video again. Thanks and greetz from Stipo from Holland. Ps i hope you share more info on the gear you are using like, how many lb the rod and line and your reel. I think lots of fisherman watching your video's can (like i do) learn from this. 👍👍👍

I enjoy your fishing trips as I live locally to you, but only manage a bit of shore fishing. It would be nice if you mentioned how you prepare and cook the fish you keep? Just a few tasty little snippets?? You obviously enjoy what you do and I look forward to some more video.

Awesome. It was on the menu at The Star in York on Friday. You don’t often see it in restaurants but was a great eat!

Thanks Dave, it was a struggle on 25lb Fluoro! If I was fishing for ling I would have been able to lift it on board with the line but the chewed fluorocarbon would definitely have parted if I’d tried that!👍

I have had a few small ones so far this year I want one like that great table fish

I’d like to see you do a video on buying a boat. I’m looking to get one when I fully retire but the choice is vast and so is the cost. Something like you got, the running cost including mooring fees, insurance, maintenance costs etc. Hope this is something you could produce in the future. Thank you 👍

Thanks Andrew, I’ll give that some thought. Have you looked at The Fishlocker? John has a video about boat buying, also Graeme from TA Fishing has a walk around his boatyard on one of his videos (I can’t remember which video, sorry) but he compares different boat types. The best advice I can offer is have a look in your local area and see what boats are popular then have s chat, most boat owners are happy to chat about their boat. Good luck boat hunting! 👍

Yes, it was a struggle Tim. If I had been aiming for ling I’d have had stronger line and would have been able to lift it onboard. My half-chewed 25lb fluoro was not going to handle that! 👍
