    "Rather, it is smarter to master one area before moving on to the next". Yeah, meaning programming and periodization. Pick one modality (hypertrophy, strength or endurance) and give each of them time to grow and master the principles. Lift weights like a true bodybuilder to learn how gain lean tissue as quickly as possible because there really is no other sport that specifically focuses on learning how to control and gain muscle like BB. Powerlift to master core BIG movements (SQ, DL & or BP etc.) and then just pick whatever sport that enables you to increase your cardio / endurance / flexibility levels. Even this Ido Portal style movement training will suffice if you like it enough lol.

    @ryanreviews8566

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@zzureee That's a good sport. You definitely will have to gain incredible lower body flexibility to progress and a good dojo will definitely push you to achieve just that. As for other recommendations, gymnastics is good but it would be best to try any sport out there that you enjoy and fits well with your schedule. Being able to sustain this other valuable side of training is what matters most anyways.

    This was really helpful advice. I've been training in Kung Fu for many years and have also noticed similar attributes that are trained like in this video. There's the flexibility and expressive movement which is it's foundation, then a refinement of those moves through precise strength training, and now I realise from this video the last thing to add is the endurance. As you said, it's a combination of all 3 that allows us to reach the peak potential of our natural capabilities. Thank you very much!
