3 Adjusting Levels & Curves - Canon DPP 4
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Learn how to remap incorrectly exposed tonal input levels to correctly exposed output levels with Canon's Digital Photo Professional 4.
A photograph’s tones are represented by a range of tonal levels. The darkest black shadows have a level of 0, while the brightest white highlight level is 255. Midtones fall between 0 and 255. If a photo is incorrectly exposed then you can use Digital Photo Professional 4 to remap shadow, midtone or highlight input levels to give them lighter or darker output levels.

very very useful tutorial , superb
Thanks for the share
How to use liners? Everything goes dark, how to build your own curve?
Great information, liked and subscribed to channel, looks like it was filmed with a potato though.
Excellent and informative video, very nicely presented. Thank you for sharing. I have a question, what values do you set for shadow and highlight clipping?

According to the guide, enter a value in .01 increments. f you make a major adjustment to the highlights or shadows in an image, the image may look unnatural. In such a case, reduce the degree of the adjustment. I hope this helps. You can also reach out to Canon support for further clarity.

@@TanyaOwensDesigns Thank you for getting back in touch. Perhaps I did not explain things clearly. The shadow and highlight warning settings, which show in blue and red respectively in the image, can be set in the dropdown menu, say at 5 for shadows and 250 for highlights. My question relates to these settings which are a personal choice, if I can put it that way. I am interested to know what settings you recommend. Many thanks.
