DPP is amazing for my R5 files but its not so fast, but i can live with it because the results are amazing. For sony, capture one is recommended

I also use DPP to process the raw file. I then export as TIFF and finish the edits in Lightroom.

I recently went back to DPP4 to process my raw files from my RP, R7, and R8. I then take the TIFF file and run it through Topaz AI. Fantastic results! Thanks for a great video crushing the myth that DPP4 is substandard.

Thanks for sharing. But how come my 60D has so much noise even when am shooting with the lowest ISO and even after reducing the noise on camera raw.

If you are experiencing noise in your Canon 60D even when shooting at the lowest ISO setting, there could be several factors contributing to this issue. Here are a few possible reasons: Sensor limitations: Every camera sensor has a native or optimal ISO range where it performs best. While lower ISO settings generally result in less noise, there might still be some inherent noise present, especially in older camera models like the Canon 60D. The 60D was released in 2010, and sensor technology has significantly improved since then. Underexposure: If you're shooting in low light conditions and not providing enough light to properly expose the scene, the camera might compensate by amplifying the signal, resulting in increased noise. Ensure that you have adequate lighting or use additional artificial lighting to avoid underexposure. Long exposure times: Noise can become more apparent in longer exposures due to the heat generated by the sensor during prolonged use. If you are shooting at slow shutter speeds, especially in warmer environments, it can contribute to increased noise levels. High-contrast scenes: High-contrast scenes with bright highlights and deep shadows can accentuate noise in certain areas, particularly in the shadow regions. This is known as shadow noise. Adjusting the exposure or using techniques like HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography can help mitigate this issue. Post-processing: Noise can also be introduced or enhanced during post-processing, especially if you apply aggressive adjustments like boosting shadows, increasing contrast, or sharpening the image. Be cautious when processing your images and consider using noise reduction techniques in post-processing software. Sensor deterioration: Over time, camera sensors may accumulate dust particles or develop hot pixels, which can contribute to increased noise levels. Regular sensor cleaning by professionals or using sensor cleaning features in your camera can help address this issue. It's worth noting that the Canon 60D is not a high-end camera in terms of noise performance. If noise reduction is a significant concern for your photography, you may want to consider upgrading to a newer camera model with improved sensor technology If the budget is limited process your raw images in canon DPP it works very well with noise from canon cameras

This is something i found by accident, so i searched YT for videos on this and came up with yours. I feel my raw in DPP displays much better than in LR. My process is however, to immediate save the DPP file under a different name, then edit in LR. I end up with an better image than if I did it in LR start to finish. For other responders, why save as a TIFF versus a RAW file. is there an advantage?

JPEG is your main way of storing the final viewable image. When you "save" or "convert" it will allow you to select other file types if you want, but remember this: The final image is a combination of three things: 1) the camera's file of raw (messy-looking) pixels, 2) the software's interpretation that converts pixels into an image, 3) adjustments added by yourself as well as the original settings in your camera. JPEG's combine all these things into a final image. JPEG's are a good, compact, portable way to store the final image. TIFF is another option, if you want a gigantic file that captures all possible final pixel values and you need a giant file to feed through other processes. Again, JPEG is your main way of storing the final viewable image.
