Great filming

Really well done throughout, despite haring across Yorkshire to get a flag or two to go with the rest of the weather. There was thunder, so there was lightning somewhere. We have the same here, on a canal in West London, we regularly get storms starting fairly locally, but when they get going in a good way, they get going on the bad way. It's ours, we made it, give it back doesn't seem to work. I've been absolutely petrified by storms almost my entire life. Until we moved onto our barge. When we get good ones, we have a 360° view from the wheelhouse. Unfortunately, now that I get excited about them, we've not had what I call a decent one for years, save a supacell that started a few miles away heading right for us, and we had to go into London. Missed it, lasted hours. We often get storms start to the west of us, around Heathrow and Hounslow Heath, or they'll start at Northolt which is very near, then they move really fast and I can see on the lightning tracker they're going crazy, and we're left with nothing. I don't just mean the canal and boats, the hill we live at the foot of provides a really good view, my husband has watched them from there, but they seem to fly past us, or from us if they start here, then spend forever in places I used to live where storms lasted forever while I hid in the safest place. Typical. I think i need to learn more about how storms develop where they do. In the meantime, I can enjoy them vicariously through your channel, and see some of the places I used to drive through for workand places I've lived or visited. I had forgotten what national speed limit looked like. It's 20mph in London mostly now, you'll be lucky to break it, lucky to get near it, best avoided these days. Thank you for such a beautifully recorded storm chase, what we all wanted wasn't on display for those before the cloud I think, you couldn't have tried harder. Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you for your awesome comment. It's good that you overcame your fear and can now enjoy thunderstorms, but unfortunate that they now seem to avoid you. Your time will come though. My home went from August 2015 to June 2020 without seeing a storm. Luckily I didn't have to wait that long with my chasing them. I can agree with London traffic. I have tried a couple of time around London and it's impossible to keep up with storms. I do tend to avoid London now. I am happy you enjoyed my video. Hopefully not long until my next one, and hopefully you get to see a storm soon too :)

Great footage! It would have been dangerous to film if there was lightning occurring on the top of Sutton Bank! Did you see the White Horse?? 😅

That is very true, my plan would have been to watch it from a distance and then run to the visitor centre for shelter. Had the storm developed overhead it could've been a bit dicey 😂. I did see the White Horse as I was driving towards Sutton Bank.

@supacellstormchasing It's a lovely area! Visited many times. I was hoping for some interesting weather where I live in Leeds (CAPE was through the roof) but unfortunately, the systems were too far north and east.
