There's a clip on my channel of notorious sumo wrestler turned MMA fighter Koji Kitao trying to shoot on Haku in a pro-wrestling match in Japan. Kitao had reached the highest rank of Yokozuna in sumo and was also a black belt in Karate but he soon learnt why it is a bad idea to mess with Haku.

Also, in case you didn't notice, it isn't just Pro Wrestlers in the video here that are giving Haku/Meng/Tonga props, it's some of the baddest dudes in MMA history as well

My favorite Haku story is one Sunny told. She and Candido we're having a conversation with Haku. Eric Bischoff and Greg Gagne interrupted it. Haku then told the two of them to apologize to Sunny and Candido for interrupting them, and they did. Now that's toughness.

Haku so scary that the Boogeyman would have to check under his bed and sleep wit a nightlight on

"He'd give you the shirt off of his back. But we were all afraid of passing him off." Best kind of man to be.

The fact that there is not ONE person who ever stated they could take Haku in a fight speaks volumes about how dangerous he was. Fighters, athletes, and wrestlers are proud men who have to be confident in there ability to beat someone’s ass, yet no one claimed they could beat up Haku. Let that sink in.

Fun Fact: Haku was once approached by police and they tried to mace him. They got his face, and right after, he took their spray and sprayed himself in the face, showing no effect at all.

Not so much related, but there's another story I love, about when it took I don't know how many officers to subdue a drunken Barbarian. However, once they locked him up, after a while, they told him that his wife was there to bail him out and he became instantly terrified! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. They say his wife was the only person he was EVER afraid of.

It’s one of Pat Patterson’s stories, one time he was wrestling the High Chief, and after the match things got a bit rowdy, and if I remember correctly that there was some kind of an altercation between Peter, Lia, Peter’s wife and the police, and Pat told that it took like 10 cops just to handcuff Lia, let alone putting handcuffs on Peter😂and after they took them to jail about 200-300 Samoans showed up outside the police station because the King and Queen of Samoa were arrested, they ended up letting them go 😂 if I remember correctly, Pat told that story in one of the Legends of Wrestling shows, I think the episode was Badasses of Wrestling, recommend to check it out

I've met and taken a picture with Don Frye. The one thing Don Frye still has is that staredown you saw in his fights. He turned it on and didn't say much to me... I was like... 'okay thank you for the picture.... Gonna go now...' 😂 Don Frye just had this stare that could intimate a wild animal. I can only imagine Haku's staredown.

knew a guy just like that at my old job he was 6'7 and 275 pounds and im 5'3 and 175 pounds so we were an odd duo but the dude was a talker having a chat about anything with anyone as soon as he could.....but once a guy probably coming from gangs was hired and hit a 55 yo lady on his first week and for no apparent reason......lets just say that he probably WONT remember because the concussion he got from my buddy must have been EPIC....fucker was out for at least an hour when we decided to throw him out still knocked out (we had everything he did on camera) and no clue how he got away or if someone dragged his sorry ass to some hospital

That was my dad. Served in the US Marine Corps. He did one campaign in Korea (shot), got wounded received a purple 💜. Did two more tours in Vietnam and got his Oak Leaf Cluster (white phosphorus explosion). He EAS after his 20 and came home. But I've never in my life seen a human being so fearless, focused, and determined. He said what he wantsd, when he wanted, but it was always the truth. And that's what's was said by everyone at his funeral. "If you didn't want to hear the truth, don't ask that man, because he wasn't afraid to tell you what you needed to hear. And he was no one to play with."

The ending is great, with Haku's own words. "The dumbest rumour? ....Well... All of them. But they're all true. You know, I can't calm my stupidity." 😂 Imagine being stupid enough to pick a fight with this monster in his prime.

Thanks for the compilation. When the industry's biggest names - Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, Ric Flair, and Goldberg - have no hesitation in naming Haku as the legit toughest wrestler ever then you don't need any further endorsement.

According to Rick Steiner (Another legit tough guy who says no one was on Meng’s level) Haku got into a lot of fights due to racism, because often times people thought he was black and would try to fuck with him in bars. He would try to warn guys not to, but they wouldn’t listen.

Not mess with him because they thought he was black lol it’s because he was a foreigner and his English was broken… so probably got misunderstood during the drink ups at the bar! Most likely what happened… trust me every tongan has an uncle with broken English like haku… might not be as athletic as him with the roundhouse kicks but the attitude is the same to a T… and when they get drunk they start saying stuff that some people may misunderstand or Vice versa and that’s when the brawls begin

Rick, would sometimes hear them getting ready to and warn them that it's a really bad idea. Of course, supposedly tough guys in a bar wouldn't listen and three or four guys would be laid out within seconds.

Back in the day, drunk wannabe tough guys would call out wrestlers regularly because they thought since wrestling is "fake" the wrestlers themselves must be fake tough guys too. There's a fella walking around with one eye right now becaue he tried that with Meng.

What’s funny is how humble Haku is. Also all the rumors are true coming from the man himself

The fact that each of them gives basically the same description of haku as a person just shows just how much he made an impact on the memory of everyone around him

Rubbish. Andre was twice there size and strength. He was being polite in interviews. He was never really scared! Andre if he hit you full force with his MASSIVE shovel hands would absolutely destroy you. Your talking about a man with hands bigger than Hakus head! With a body so large, no amount of punches would hurt his body. Unless you kicked him in his groin or shot him with a shot gun, there is no other way you are putting Andre down if he does not want to go down. People need to realise being tough is not the same as being a great fighter. If Andre lost his temper for real he would destroy Haku with 1 giant slap.

Haku should crash a wwe hall of fame ceremony and declare to the audience that he is in the hall of fame now and the demand that Vince himself come out to induct him.

Love these stories. And love humans like this… someone who can destroy you with his pinkie, so he’s very secure in himself, since he has no fear. So… just a sweet, kind dude. And seeing them interview him here at the end (albeit abbreviated and chopped off) proves it. A humble, self-deprecating individual. I always loved watching him… whether he was a heel or a face. Now I’ll appreciate him even more.

I don't know how this ended up in my feed, but alright. As an islander myself, I grew up with a tough upbringing. Haku is a generation before me. Where ever you're from, imagine a country boy, but bare foot, living that country life. Because of genetics and diet, slap an extra 20 lbs on that sucker. Get his mentality and spirituality right. Anybody needs you, you're there for them. Even strangers. That's how we're brought up. Now send him across the seas and give him martial arts training and have him travel around the world, dealing with people from all walks of life. Sometimes add alcohol into that mix with old school thinking. That could potentially create a very dangerous individual.

The scary thing is Perry Saturn was an Army Ranger and those guys are real bad asses. And he said Tonga could kill everyone of us in a blink of an eye and there's nothing we can do about it.

I have met many lovely Tongans in my life . They are the kindest loveliest people you will ever meet . But if you wrong them watch the hell out indeed . Most of the rugby players here in NZ have Tongan heritage . Tough sons of a gun indeed but with hearts of polynesian gold indeed

There's a clip of MMA fighter Koji Kitao trying to shoot on Haku in a pro-wrestling match. Haku knocks Kitao out unconscious in a matter of seconds.

Biggest balls award goes to the skinny guy who asked Haku himself.

My best friend in high school was a 275 Samoan boy and the way they talk about Haku is exactly how I used to talk about him. The sweetest and most caring man I’ve ever met but my lord if you got him pissed you were in deep trouble!

Real tough guys don't talk about how tough they are, many other people talk about how tough that person is. That's Haku.

We should all thank our lucky stars that nature gave its deadliest killing machine such a friendly disposition.
