I recommend hearing more stories about Tonga because he is basically the Chuck Norris of pro wrestling. Everyone from Hulk Hogan to Brock Lesnar has said Tonga was someone you never wanted to fight.

The best King Tonga/Meng/Haku story is that he was hired by WCW in 1994 and then was never fired because nobody had the balls to do it. The source of that story is WCW President Eric Bischoff.

I remember his dad Rocky Johnson and Tony Atlas as a tag team.

I laughed so hard at his story about his aunt beating up his uncle because it's so true as I've seen the same thing happen at my family gatherings growing up BAHAHAHAHA! I'm Samoan too and grew up in New Zealand where most people who are unfamiliar with the country will be surprised, like Jimmy appeared to be here, that there is a large Samoan community. Samoan is even the third most spoken language in New Zealand after English and Maori. But yeah I always tell people that though Samoan men may seem intimidating, it's the women you need to watch for. No matter how big and scary they look all Samoan men are scared of their mothers 😂

For those that don't know, Meng/Haku/Tonga was said to be one of the toughest men in wrestling history. One person asked a fighter who would in win in a legit fight between a number of wrestlers, he said Tonga would kill them all before they even had a chance. It was also rumored that during UFC's dawning days, wrestling promoter Eric Bischoff wanted Tonga to fight, so that it can be proven wrestlers were tougher than MMA fighters. And some have speculated that was Tonga 5-10 younger, he might have dominated MMA. He was suppose to be so tough.

Haku lived with the Rock’s family in Tampa for a time. So he probably heard this story first hand from his uncle. Lmao

ti inu his father is 100 black so that plays a part. His father was probably 70% black, like lots of “black Americans” who have mixed blood at some point in their heritage. Hence why they often look different from black people from Africa

Or as William Regal would say, "U-manga", which is ironic, considering that's how it's TECHNICALLY pronounced in native Samoan, or so I've heard.

His uncle not only bit off a nose... He reached in a guys mouth and broke off his lower teeth He supposedly tore the eye out of a Wrestler in Puero rico for kicking dirt on a ditch digger He broke handcuffs He took mace from the police wman that just maced him and sprayed it in his own face He bit through a guys shirt and but off a chunk of his back His tongan death grip, basically a hand around the throat actually took a few guys out He made the guy running WCW apologise for interupting a conversation backstage The same guy never fired him because nobody wanted to give him his notice He has never bragged about any of this. But he said everything was true and there are dozens of wrestlers that witnessed these events. He was short tempered when drinking booze, but in not one isntance did he ever start a fight. SOmeone else always instigated these brutal events.

Damn, mentioning King Tonga but not his sons, despite this was the time the bullet club was starting to get their worldwide prominence
