Yeah almost too ironic not saying anything but the type of maniacal mindset he had with all his fame just the subconscious of his fame on TV related to the murder yarn played out just so happens to act that out with all the dramatism intact. Comparable to the story on set of the actor wanted to recreate the psycho scene and it was enough to creep them out for good. I'm sure he meant well but it could be some crazy socio problem like oj apparently has after seeing him mock the killings in tapes and just be generally full of himself.

Jerry always said that he decided to end the show while it was still number 1 in the ratings because he wanted it to end it on a high note instead of letting it just drag on and on and on until the fans lose interest the ratings drop the network cancels it. Which I think is a smart move because, going out on a high note means people remember the show as something great that they wanted more of, instead of remembering it as something that they got tired of and lost interest in. If he had kept the show going until it was canceled for low ratings Netflix may have paid 1 hundred million dollars to get 15 seasons of it for five years instead of 5 hundred million to get nine seasons of it for five years

It was genuinely funny to me when I first watched it in the late 90’s and early 2000’s but after yiu have seen it it can get a little tiresome. The same cannot be said for friends, for instance, which I never grow bored of. Sometimes I can be tired of it but never bored. Oh no, never bored. Haha

That was my experience as well. I used to travel a lot to small towns in the middle of nowhere for work all the time and be stuck in these crappy motels. Watching TV for a couple of hours each night was the only entertainment. I tried watching Seinfeld a couple of times and decided it was stupid and stopped paying attention. Then my roommate made we watch a later episode. It happened to be Babu the hapless restaurateur, and I was hooked. I still remember the exact line that changed my opinion, "It's like a spider in the toilet. You know he's not going to make it, but for a second you root for the little guy."

There's only been one TV show better than Seinfeld and that of course is Twilight Zone which Seinfeld had to make fun of because even they knew they could never beat The "Zone" Jerry accused Serling of making every episode pretty much the same plot which was not true at all. Bizarro World episode kinda resembled a Twilight Zone story which was like a tribute to The Rod Serling Show as Rosanne Barr called it.

The Soup Nazi was excellent and hysterical. I have so many favorites I can't keep track, but here are a few: Jerry steals a marble rye from an old lady who later turns out to be on the board at Del Boca Vista, the anti-Dentite, Mr. Pitt eats a candy bar with a fork and knife, shrinkage, Sponge-worthy, "not-that-there's-anything-wrong-with-it," Kenny Roger's Roasters, the list goes on. I don't know the Twilight Zone nearly as well, but two cool episodes I remember are the lady who buys something on the top floor of a department store and when she goes to return it she finds out that floor doesn't exist, and the lady who gets multiple plastic surgeries in order to look ugly like everyone else in her society.

I like all those episodes you mentioned and it is very hard to pick a favorite but I really liked the one about the moile which included the story of the pigman and George trying to extort money from the hospital where the suicide landed on his car. Kramer, who protected the baby from the moile, was the godfather in that one as well. "Never go against the family, Jerry!" he said in his best Marlon Brando voice. The other Zone I really liked was the one where the librarian was deemed obsolete. The ending was ironic and explosive!! Not to mention Time Enough at Last also starring Burgess Meredith as the last man on earth.

So I haven’t seen anything about it yet, but one scene in particular would make me pee my pants as a little girl watching this show… Kramer asking Jerry if “he wanted some coffee, because he could get him some coffee” and walking away from the group after having so much coffee after winning his lawsuit for his coffee being hot (which I believe also reflected reality, I want to say it happened with a customer from McDonald’s). Sooo fucking funny. Thank you for brilliant TV back when there wasn’t a whole lot else to do. You helped shape my own sense of humor, wit, and comedic relief in my own life and in my family. Now my nieces and nephew ask me to “be funny” when we spend time together. I also want to give a huge shout out to Elaine, no one really talks about how funny she was/is, especially for an attractive woman in the 90’s, a time when men were starting to obsess over Victoria Secret models, and there was still a sense that women still had roles at home and weren’t attractive if they were funny. She’s right up there with “Lucy” Ball, thank you Julia Louis-Dreyfus for showing a little girl that girls and women can be funny, smart, attractive, and can hang with the boys :) ;)

I think that the lack of chemistry is precisely why Larry David wanted the actress that played Susan. The awkward tension between George and Susan was palpable and led to comedy gold. I think killing her off was more the natural end to the story in David’s mind, than it was about the lack of chemistry. David even said he just wanted to kill a character before leaving the show, since he hadn’t done it before.

Very very good list! But you forgot to add the fact that Jerry Stiller would look to the sky while on camera when he had trouble remembering his lines because he was nervous - and the gesture only added to his character’s hilarity 😄

Wait. The real Kramer runs his own reality tour? Bahahaha! I would love to take THAT tour!!! One truth I noticed is in the first season there’s a reference to George having a brother and I guess that just never transpired.

seinfeld initially intended the 8th season to be the last. thats why there is the chequered flag as part of the opening credits. he said the 9th season was his gift to the fans of the show. for that we thank him.

From the UK so I no real emphasis on how massive or good this show was. Came on Netflix, thought go on give it a go. Binged all seasons, loved it and miss it so much.
