Me too. Anyone else feel uncomfortable with Michael slapping Julia's face, grabbing her shoulders, saying her was going to hit her with a 4x4 and hitting Jerry in the back? I think Michael Richards is an amazing talent, and maybe my upbringing is influencing my perception, but I feel that they gave him too much grace for the way he touched the other actors. His redemption in Curb is amazing though.

What`s weird is that although the show made them rich for life and the biggest comic actors in modern times, it also killed off their careers. None of the shows like "Christine" got much attention. Michael and Julia was already accomplished comedians when they joined Seinfeld. But after Seinfeld, no one was able to separate them from "Seinfeld". The same happened to everyone on Cheers except for Kelsey Grammer who continued being Frasier. If they had done the same with George, Kramer and Elaine it would probably have been successful.

By watching this video, I realized that the only one of the four actually playing a character is Michael Richards. Everyone else is just being themselves with a script. It looks like the script is very much written around who they were in real life except for Michael, who was a completely different person than the real life Kramer. So as they say early on in this video, they all gave Michael space to get into character before his scenes, because as actors themselves knew that he had to change his persona the most. They also say that Kramer was the character that changed the most through the seasons. If they had done the same with all four, the show would probably not be such a success as it was. They kind of made it easy for themselves by keeping the three characters very close to reality.

@@eltoro969 jason alexander is nothing like george in real life. george is a neurotic liar scared of commitment and bitter about the world. jason is a successful actor in tv and theater. he is happily married, has several kids, and is by all appearances much more confident and friendly than his character. julia is also happily married, has children, is a successful actor, and much more outgoing and less bitter than elaine. the only one who is close to his character is jerry. they said michael’s character changed so much because he used to play dumb, then switched to playing smart, and everyone else was dumb. it wasn’t because they said michael portrayed his character differently than his own personality.
All these years later, I watch at least one episode per day, always brings a smile to my face.

Mine too. In the early years he was the most complete, complex and well-acted. He became a little too much of a cartoon by the end, but still hilarious.
My favorite scene ever on Seinfeld is the one where Kramer does a talk show in his apartment and suddenly with the cast sitting in as guests he takes a commercial break and starts eating potato chips and soda. Then, burps. That moment was so funny that I still think about it because he was so immersed eating.
I am glad they did a piece about Jerry Stiller. The Core Four are what makes the jambalaya, The Jambalaya. But Stiller adds that extra special spice to the mix that makes the dish unique. People know what I mean when I say "Serenity now!"

I always felt like they missed an easy home run on the series finale by not making it a redux of Wizard of Oz for a 90-min show. Kramer is the prototype Scarecrow, as is George for the Cowardly Lion. Elaine is a brunette with long curly hair like Dorothy and the irony of her hating dogs would have jokes galore with Dorothy & Toto. Newman as the Wizard, a lot of prior characters could fill the roles of Glenda and the Wicked Witch. With so many other characters made famous that appeared in the actual finale filling in the dozens of roles Wizard of Oz would create. I always wished I could have been older than 20 when the show ended so that I could have flown to NYC and begged Larry David for 5 minutes bc I have had that in my head since halfway thru the show’s original airing run, as WoOz was my favorite film growing up.

The show was really a representation of Jewish Americans so for me I have had family members, friends, parents friends ALL like these characters and I completely related to everything. For us to see our lives on this show as it really is was astonishing. Many non-Jews would have no idea. When I explain these things they are in disbelief. Jews will give negative compliments and positive insults. Masters of guilt trips and being neurotic. We are wired differently. Seinfeld is us. At least the American version of many of us. I write some comedy, it’s in my nature. I always am “performing” in my day to day life. You gotta laugh!

The team (cast, producers, writers, etc) deserve all the accolades and awards they've received. Kudos to all.
This cast was phenomenal. Every once in a while i come back to this show to revisit these characters, as if they're old friends. Michael Richards dedication to his role is felt in his every movement. At a friend’s Dads funeral I signed the book “HE Pennypacker”. The next day his sister is looking through it and says “Who is this?!” and my buddy burst out laughing. Now when he needs to refer to me to his sister he says, “You know, HE Pennypacker.” 😂
Thank you so much for this round table session
Michael is a true professional through and through. incredible sense of comedy but incredible method as well.
I liked the last episode, i was amazed when i heard the controversy...
This show is THE greatest comedy ever

Maybe one of FIVE greatest shows, no better. You have overlooked other legendary shows with naive 90s agenda.

I would rank Golden Girls, Cheers, South Park, The Office (English) and The Simpsons above Seinfeld. mostly because of the writers. (I know The Office is very much an improv.) Although the Seinfeld episodes are funny as hell, it`s the characters playing off each other that makes it funny, rather than the script (lines) itself. That`s also the secret to why millions are still watching the episodes on Netflix today. We relate to the characters and fell in love with them because of the realness. The stories are often cut short with stupid endings that made no sense, almost like some bad high school sketch where someone dies in the end to finish the damn sketch on a high note. And that`s also probably what made Seinfeld stand out from Cheers, Friends, Fresh Prince etc.. Many of the things that happened on Seinfeld could have happened in real life. I love Seinfeld and watches the episodes on a weekly basis but if you strip down the work they did in the writing (and Jerry`s horrible acting) it`s clear it`s all character driven and not so much the writing.

No loss of chemistry. Every time I watch a show, I see something different. And Jason was correct, Michael Richards was genius. No one else could do what he created. Unique and hilarious. But, honestly, no one else could do George as well as Jason! Fabulous show, Seinfeld is my go to binge if I want to laugh, every time.
You can tell that Julia really loved doing that show.

To me it has always seemed like she has tried to remove herself from Elaine, maybe to get other acting jobs? Although Seinfeld made them rich and famous for life, it also ended their careers on that final episode. No one will ever be able to believe in them doing other roles. Specially when so many are still watching Seinfeld over 20 years on.. I wouldn`t be surprised it`s a bitter sweet feeling for Julia, Jason and Michael.

I wish that I could return to those good old days when I used to enjoy comedy. Your show is the only one that I watched repeats, like it was the first time that I watched it. I lost my last best friend on February 5th, 2022. He was my partner in comedy, and 1 year and a day later, my mom passed away with dementia on February 6th 23. The following Christmas Day, 2023. My father passed away and went to join my mother. Thank you for this great show! I needed a great laugh. Thank you all for the great memories!

Watch FleaBag. Came home on Christmas day 2019 from Germany after attending my brother's funeral after he committed suicide. I didn't think I could laugh. But, I did. Life is different but it does go on.
Thank you for uploading!
Favorite show of all time! STILL!
What I love about this is when you think there's a gag coming and it turns into serious conversation.
They brought back memories of that great, unrepeatable series
The chemistry between this group and any other actor they brought in to play into the whole "Seinfeld" spiel was pure magic. Loved the show.. pure comedy.👍
Thank you for this video🙏🤷♀️ I love Seinfeld and am so happy to see all of these🥰
Thank you, Mr David.

I think if you're NOT from a big city with Chinese restaurants that are hard to get a table at like that, you may not get it. That's what the execs were worried about.
"I'm out!," is my single favorite line I've ever heard on television. It's funny, and was absolutely perfectly delivered in every sense.
Michael Richards acting in Seinfeld is a masterpiece. No one could do it like he did. All cast members were extraordinary, but Michael Richard was on his own level. More you watch it, you realize all the details in his acts.

True. Although I think Elaine is the funniest, Michael Richards had to really ACT that character unlike the other three who basically just were themselves on set with a script.

The best sitcom ever, period
Glad I found this. The greatest US TV show ever. The greatest ensemble cast ever. The funniest show ever. Case closed; no debate. Great memories
I hope they realize that the morning after every show, for the first few years, the first thing you talked about when you got to the office in the morning, Did you see Sienfeld last nite! Then on you went into a multi person play by play and laughed all over again. God bless the whole bunch of em.
Forgotten? NEVER. I visit your apartment a dozen or more times each week. I know most all the scripts by heart, but will never not stop by for a much needed visit!
Turned out to be the greatest comedy show ever. EVER!!
How could any job be more fun than this show?
Thank you for the upload. 😊😊
How did I seriously not even know this existed until today
Larry David looks to be inserted from the future... Thank you Seinfeld cast/Larry David... You've brought so much comedy love and happiness to all of us undeserving mutts.
So glad I just happened on this tonight. 1 hour of smiles and LOLs. I loved the Seinfeld finale and love that Larry is openly contemptuous about the negative reviews. Good for him!
Thank you, guys, for the show-this and those nine years of laughter. Julia, I once stood next to you as you saved the life of a sixteen-year-old girl who had previously overdosed because she had just found out that her mother died back in the East Bay; that girl was from that area. As I said to you, "I met her in Berkeley, and she just lost her mother to a drug overdose." This was in front of the Metro 4 theaters, on State Street, in Santa Barbara, California. You, your husband, and two kids were going to see a movie there on that smoky fall night. You saved her life. And I just wanted to give up this information because I watched you take charge quickly and act like you were a paramedic yourself. And then, once you realized she was going to be okay, you dusted that off and walked into the theater with your family, like you were Kramer to tell that story about how calm he was taking the "pinky-toe" to the hospital and how that bus ride prior to that story included. You merely sloughed it off like just another thing you did daily; thank you for that.
Randomly found this even though it was my most favourite show of all time!! This is GOLD JERRY, GOLD I TELL YOU!
The first few episodes, George was doing an impression of Woody Allen. 🤣

Kramer's wearing cotton dockers!!! If they're not dockers, they're just pants
Seeing Larry David talking about Kramer while sitting next to “Kramer” feels either like a Star Trek transporter malfunction or the beginning of a classic Abbot and Costello routine.
Just finished it from the first to the last episode for probably the 9th time. Never gets old, will never be surpassed, IMO. It'd be great if they brought it back in some form. P.s. on a side note, the lady who played Jerry Seinfeld's mother was actually James Dean's greatest love.
Nothing makes me laugh more than the Seinfeld show. Thank you for sharing with us.
Oh man, I agree! Jerry Stiller was a comedic genius! I effin' loved Georges' dad. He nailed the character, or rather, he defined it!
