The Ridgeline?? Never thought of that as a truck, more of an SUV with a bed. To each their own. I'd go with the Frontier.

The frontier is now the go to.

Nah…not for me.

There are 4 models Sport, RTL, Trailsport, Black Edition, the sport is the basic and black has all the bells and whistles. I traded my Tacoma for a Trailsport and couldn’t be happier I don’t tow or off-road so none of that matters to me I was looking for comfort and the Ridgeline is quite, smooth, handles better on corners, the engine is super quiet. Take one for a ride you’ll be impressed, it’s a SUV with a pickup bed.

Ridgeline is a great truck for most people. Drives great, good fuel economy, reliable, strong V6 and tranny. I have owned (3) F150's and (2)Tacos. They are all appropriate tools for appropriate jobs. I no longer tow or go off-road. Thinking possible about a Ridgeline for weekend Lowes runs😂

I own a 23 Black edition Ridgeline. It’s a nice vehicle, rides great on the highway and the all wheel drive handled great in the snow. Unfortunately it’s just not for me. I just ordered a 24 Tacoma 6spd sport. Should be delivered in October. Looking forward to it.

No Rob people are looking at the Frontier or Chevy Colorado, ZR2 as a replacement of the Tacoma

Nissan frontier is the way to go if your a Tacoma lover and want to save $$

Keeping my paid off 22 Tacoma 4X4 with 10600 miles for a long time. Feel Nissan will be stealing business from Toyota, See alot of New Frontiers everywhere, haven't seen the new Tacomas on the road just a few times, and I live in a populated area. Who knows how the new Tacoma will do. Definitely the end of an era, only time will tell. Peace...

I drove the trailsport. The tires are noisy, but the inside is loaded. Very nice ride. I do think you should drive it. I would be curious about your take on it. This will be the truck I buy when I'm old.. or older, I should say. I think honda blew it when they took out the shifter and put in a button .. made it less of a truck!

The Ridgeline is no Tacoma Replacement. I'd say Frontier might be.

Hello Rob! I finally took possession of my new Supersonic Red Long bed SR5 Tacoma yesterday and so far I'm lovin' it. Traded in a '16 Off-Road short bed on it. Already ordered a few modest mods for it thanks to your channel. Love the info even if I don't always agree with the content.

@@rickeycooley9139 I traded two vehicles. A '16 Tacoma Off-Road and a '21 Nissan Rogue. Driveway was looking like a used car lot! Between the two of them I basically paid the sales tax on the truck. The final price of the truck was $49K. I know its a lot of money but hey, I'm 64 and I want to enjoy what time I have left.Hope this is the last new one I buy.

I finally bought myself a new truck. I've been waiting for 2 years. I found a used GMC canyon 4 x 4 long bed on sale for $22k at my local GMC dealership.

The Ridgeline is a hard NO for me. I will keep my 2021 Tacoma SR5 XP 4x4 with 7k miles until it dies. I will probably die first.

I don't think many people go to Honda dealerships looking for a truck; most of the time they're after SUVs or sedans. Anyway, I prefer the Colorado ZR2 right now. The Ridgeline gives me an SUV-with-a-bed-in-the-back vibe or a lifted Accord.

Ridgelines supposedly drive like a dream. What were your thoughts Rob? I think they’re awesome and I would consider one in the future. Pretty baller hidden storage and can be used as a cooler. Verrrry nice!

I'll buy a Ridgeline when I start wearing Hawain shirts, and I'm in my 80s. People have commented poor reliability which is far from correct. They have a very good reliability rating with owners. Still, hard pass, I'll go with the Frontier

We’ll get out know from the current Tacoma while there is still value. The second quarter sales will be the defining moment to watch and experience. I’m keeping my 2023 Tacoma for as long as possible.

Why would anyone want to get out of a new Tacoma? Have you driven one?

Should I be bothered if my fuel gauge on dashboard seems to be off or too early for it to adjust? Im at 1200 km so far. 2nd time filled up fuel at full tank and it always reads 430km range where proven that actual km I get at full tank is actualy avergae of 600km. I have trd sports. Anyone has the same thing, let me know. Thanks My worry is maybe the gauge is not working properly the way it should like some kind of defect?? what i mean is in reality, what I get is 600km drive for full tank which I already justified based on my obeservation but the gauge only says a lot lower. So I hope gauge is not defective.

decades tacomas owner looking for an alternative. ridgeline is not, nor will ever be, an option for me.

Rob knows the 2024 Tacoma is a losing investment. The current model as lost it’s broad appeal and the negative Toyota news is affecting all models across the board.
