    I feel like the affordable cars with less tech are beyond slept on. Even if you sacrifice speed, if you use it for A to B then it’s a win to me.

    Bought a fully loaded GT for my dad recently. 8.5 inches of ground clearance on a 170” SHORT suv! From a dead stop to 30mph it’s very QUICK, not fast. Feels like the instant torque you get from an EV.

    It's a reliable vehicle. It comes with a 10yr/100k mile warranty. It looks nice. It drives smoothly. It's comfortable. The controls are simple and easy to use. My parents own older ones and love theirs.

    One of the best reviews I've seen. Very objective and accurate. We purchased this after purchasing the larger outlander. (We have both) both are well built vehicles and after owning them for 2 years, i say both cars are worth consideration and ownership

    I like the fact that it has a key ignition instead of that Solution to a Problem that never existed Push-button start. Like that you get 4WD too. But, no key-less entry in this day & age?? Very surprised by that. So yeah, try not to accidentally get locked out of your vehicle. (Assuming like all cars it comes with two keys, put the spare one on your separate keyring that has your house-keys on it.)

    Solid value and very reliable! (a friend bought a new Mirage for like $12k in 2016 and beat the hell out of it and drove 100K with no issues until he wrapped it around a pole in a Denver snowstorm.) Very unrated in the US but a very solid car company in the rest of the world!

    These are fantastic. Very nimble and easy to drive - plus the Android Auto/Carplay works really well. Like Ben mentioned it also has a very comfortable ride!

    We purchased one on 2/19/24 and love it. When showing the glove box, you missed a "quirk" as Doug Demuro says as the owners manual pouch is also a first aid kit. It has about everything you need for small cuts, a tire pressure gauge, an ink pen and a touch-up pen.

    If these were offered with a manual like they are overseas it would be the perfect cheap crossover. But as is there’s no way I wouldn’t take a Mazda CX-30 for the same money.

    I used to have a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. The vehicle gave me NO issues! I kept up the regular vehicle maintenance and even took it long distances. Ended up with almost 80k before I sold it. Very reliable vehicle hands down!

    I read on the outlander sport forum, there is a high theft rate in the catalytic converter. I like the price and look. I currently drive a 2016 Kia Soul +72K due to the Kia Boys tik tok challenge and my insurance may not renew or cancel my policy. This is probably not and option. What about 2024 has any changes been made to prevent theft of the catalytic converter?

    My 2022 outlander sport was great! Until the water pump crapped out at 37,000 miles and caused it to overheat while driving.. the only good thing about this car is the warranty

    If you aren’t a car enthusiast and just want reliable cars that take you from point A to B and don’t cost a lot of money doing it, Mitsubishi is the way to go. Definitely underrated in the U.S. and that warranty for cars off the lot can’t be beat.

    When i do my 16 hr straight drives i go for my Sport. Reliabily second to none. I'm looking to buy a 24 because the deals are out there now I have expensive German cars i don't trust for those kinds of trips.

    Mitsubishi makes great cars but this vehicle has not changed much in the past 10 years. I can see the dash and interior is basically all the same. The hood, lights and exterior touch ups are there but I guess if it ain't broken don't fix it. Manual transmission models had a nice kick and you could really take off when merging into traffic, too bad no manual option now. I guess back to SI or WRX we go. All in all, a reliable daily driver and no mechanical issues to think of. Gas it up, some oil change, tire rotations and before you know it's hitting that 100K.

    How are the CVT transmission on these things? Reliable?

  • @farley7818

    @farley7818

    Unfortunately JATCO makes them which is easily the worst transmission out of the Toyota. Honda, JATCO and Hyundai/Kia CVT developers. HOWEVER Mitsubishi takes the transmissions in house and fiddles with them before they hit the lot my best guess is they enhance the reliabliltiy in one way or another in their own factory before they go into production which is why they're significantly more reliable than Nissan and remember that 10 year 100k warranty too

    Have one and it’s not my favorite. 30k for not much. Then found out it’s a cvt. Keeping it because it’s already bought and I’ve paid two years already. But I wish I would bought a Seltos or a Corolla cross.

  • @JacksonWalter735

    @JacksonWalter735

    Corolla Cross would have been a great alternative, but you dodge a bullet by not getting a Seltos. My mom had a 21 Seltos and her car’s engine had a knocking sound that the dealership said was normal until it completely died after 9k miles. It took a month just for Kia to diagnose it to see if it was under warranty and then another 3 months to get a new engine in and the replacement. It was around the Covid era though. Lo and behold Kia later recalled that engine due to piston issues. I also live in Houston and we have a major Kia Boyz issue where they break into Kia’s and try to start the car with an iPhone charger. It only works on the older models without the immobilizers where you have to insert in a physical key, but those guys aren’t the brightest bunch and still break the windows and center console to try and steal the car. It happened twice to my mom already.

    You should be grateful because Mitsubishi’s are made in Japan. Your outlander sport is going to be bulletproof. Only Nissan CVT is trash tbh.

    Based on the wheels I would say it’s an LE model because that’s the only trim that comes with all black wheels. Was just on the Mitsubishi website and that’s what it showed. I want the SEL because of the larger 2.4 liter engine.
