I feel like people complain too much about how the interior is in these cars. It’s not meant to be a fancy car like a suburban or a bmw. It’s meant to be an affordable reliable all wheel drive car for someone who doesn’t have a huge income and still wants to get a brand new car.

Exactly!

I like how you always remember to cover Mitsubishi models on your channel. A lot of people dismiss Mitsubishi when they see their older lineup, but you always cover Mitsubishi cars, and do a good job in making them desirable. And I think, although the Outlander Sport is due a redesign, on paper it offered everything a modern car has.

I own a 2018 and it’s done me very well even though it seen better days now.

I love the Outlander Sport. Made in Japan. Super reliable. A very long warranty. Although it can feel pokey getting up to speed, it's perfectly fine around town and when cruising on the interstate. I really like the design of it, even though it's long in the tooth. Still a good-looking vehicle.

So if you want the best engine option, buy the most expensive SEL trim.

One question: Does Mitsu offer an optional high output audio system, with subwoofer, on the higher level models of the Outlander Sport? We used to have a 2020 Mirage G4 great little car but we needed something a little bigger so we trade the Mirage for a 2023 Outlander Sport ES and we’re very happy with it, great to have AWD standard on every trim and it does looks nice.

Nice! I got a 2024 Mirage ES. Perfect size for me. I use it as a cargo van often. It's amazing! I get about 49 MPG on average, and on the highway I get about 57 MPG.

Imagine all of those cars I drove many years ago with one speaker. Yes, there was a time when you got one, and manufacturers bragged about having two speakers for true stereo sound.

The 2.4 feels very quick in the city, feels like the instant torque you get from ev’s

@@epq23323 it’s well worth it, I had the 2.0 a long time ago and this makes stop and go driving a lot easier. It’s surprisingly fast off the line to like 30mph

@@epq23323 They're both very good engines and overall a super dependable vehicle. My father bought a new 2019 ES 2.0 and my mother bought a new 2015 GT 2.4. Both have been extremely reliable. The only issue so far, which is barely worth mentioning, is that she had to replace the gas cap because it wasn't sealing tightly and causing the check engine light to come on. They've been making this vehicle since 2011 and the powertrain is even older than that since it comes from the Lancer. Reliability is no worry.

I owned a 1985 model Dodge Colt Which was a Mitsubishi… it was a manual 4spd with a high low lever for every gear … purchased it new .. Put 275,000 hard miles on the little Colt .. I lived in the mountains so alot of climbing and driving in snow … the transmission finally went out .. so I gave it to my neighbor.. he drove it for two years with only a few gears 🤣 Great car …. I’m really interested in this vehicle mainly because it is built in Japan

I own one, and I do agree with him. The breaking in the outlander sport is amazing. That's what I truly love about it!

@epq23323 Well, Mine is a 2.0L FWD 2020 model, no AWD for me, sadly. But it has amazing grip. No issues with it, only one factory recall from the transmission that requires a visit to the dealership for an update for the transmission computer so far. I have experienced no other issues. It only has 40k miles, and it has been great to me so far.

@epq23323 In gas is great! I have no complaints about gas mileage at all. In fact, my wife's Mazda gets more gas mileage than the Outlander sport. I have no kids, but I can tell the overall space is decent 👌 I even bought a 75" TV, and it could fit inside de car with seats down, no joke. Imagine that!

I have a question about this car's infotainment system. Might it be a good option to get the ES trim level and have a new sound system installed?

I love my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SE

There is a sport mode slap that shifter to the right and it's on

In Canada it is the Mitsubishi RVR. I own the 2021 one. I have the shifter paddles AZ the steering wheel so I can drive in sport. Mine is also the limited edition. I also have the push button start. I bought a cargo cover at Walmart that goes right up the back of the seats.i has the SE model. Mitsubishi they do have good warranties.

I am looking for a new car. I like the look and price, I was going this weekend to test drive. I have a 2016 Kia Soul + 72 K due to Kia Boys I have to get rid of it. I read the outlander sport has a high catalytic converter theft. Has anything changed for the 2024 maybe a factory shield? Let me know your thoughts.

They Should've kept the CD player on the lower trim levels which don't have apple car play and android auto.

I was in the Outlander, the Outlander Sport, and the Mirage. And the Outlander Sport is odd. The outside of the car looks bigger, but the inside of the car is tight. I find the Mirage more roomy. Is it just me?

I have a 2023 Kia Sportage X PRO, it is everything but fun. I was looking for another SUV to replace it but I think this would be a downgrade. The KIA has way more tech and a bigger motor. The KIA Sportage has 187 HP and is very slow. UGH I was hoping this would of been a good replacement. I really like the Trail Edition

Its all AWD, not 4wd. It uses Mitsubishi's older AWD system called All Wheel Control (AWC).

Old design but still appealing in a way. The old Jeep Patriot was based on this, I believe

I have heard some mixed opinions about the Outlander Sport. Some claim very noisy, underpowered, and made very cheaply and wind and road noise. Just curious what anybody that has one have anu opinions on their Outlander Sport. Personally I like the vehicle...design, shape...options.....etc. Thanks.

They have to redising the exterior and put a powerful engine too. If they do that they will sell more vehicle.

This thing isn't worth MSRP, but if you can get it for a couple grand under...it's a lot of car and warranty for the money/times.

I just wish when you test a vehicle try and get one with color. Dammit these gray and black dull color vehicles get old. When they want to give you a test vehicle tell them people want to see it in it's best clothes.

For this to be worth it you need to walk out of the 2.4 top model for 25k. Its a platform thats over 11yrs old. The entertainment system is outdated in terms of quality. With that said. Its a reliable vehicle hampered by its age. I like it but its only worth a certain amount of money. Not as comfortable, quiet or efficient as its competitors.

@epq23323 they're basically the same engine. You get I believe 20 more hp and more torque. It's not that the 2.0 is bad. It's just not very powerful. My elantra 2.0 and the Outlander Sport 2.0 have the same hp and similar torque and my car, which I really like, is very pokey. I wouldn't pass anybody unless I plan a day in advance.

@@epq23323 My 2017 Outlander Sport has been extremely reliable. Just routine maintenance. It does amazing in the snow, but make sure to get some better tires; the ones it comes with are pretty cheap, at least the ones sold in MN.

Probably the jatco cvts. Yuck.

It does use a Jatco. Same CVT as Nissan. They're not the best for reliability but if you change the fluid every 30,000 miles, they can last 150k miles or more. Never going to be as reliable as a Toyota or Honda though.

Lame AZZ excuse to keep charging more money for cars utilities and everything in life.. if we stand together say we're not paying that what you think will happen

HATE those ugly black wheels. A deal breaker for sure.
