Cillian deserves his award masterful performance not depending on anything else but his talent.

Cillian would be a great choice but I’m rooting for Giamatti. SAG will determine if there’s a race or a sweep.

Both me and you had Anatomy of a Fall predicted as the least likely to win Screenplay. Agreed, that this was truly the biggest surprise of the ceremony. Spectacular. I'm kinda digging this "new Globes"

I’m glad Oppenheimer won the awards it received. Truly deserved, especially seeing Christopher Nolan finally receiving a major award.

Nolan also has a lot of popular appeal that I don’t think Mendes could match for the film to go all the way to the Oscar win.

Nolan is hands down winning this year and unlike 1917, Oppenheimer has winning performances that are going to have some support from acting branch. Just hoping “fatigue” doesn’t seep in because I’d love to see Oppy win.

CILLIAN MURPHY & OPPENHEIMER wins were the highlight of the Golden Globes for me. It’s rare your favourite film & favourite performance ever wins so I’m beyond thrilled. 👏 It was a great might for the winners. All fantastic! Can’t wait for more award shows.

I loved all of the winners. I thought that Golden Globes had great nominees. If the Globes keep going this way, they might end up more prestigious than the Oscar’s. On top of that, I LOVE that they gave foreign films more love. I really wish the Oscars were more inclusive for foreign films and foreign actors.

Excluding Nomadland, this could be the first year since The Artist where there's a competely unstoppable set of frontrunners The Artist Got Picture, Director, Actor, Score, Cinematography Oppenheimer can get the same

I love the score for Oppenheimer but loved Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse score more because it’s much more modern and dynamic. I’m kinda hoping Spider-Man: AoSV could power through. The Boy and the Heron is good, but I didn’t quite love it as much as I wanted. I know Spider-Man won last time, but it’s a much more grander and bigger and much more emotionally enriching sequel and a splashier/more technical eye candy.

Why are u people still talking about that movie colour purple. Its dead on arrival. Its doing poorly at the box office, it didn't surpass the original critically.

I’m sorry but why did you think Ryan Gosling would win? Especially over Robert Downey who gave a performance of a life time.

not gonna lie, i am not as excited as last year for Oscars. i don't really feel attached to any of the possible nominees unlike the way i am obsessed with EEAAO. i haven't get a chance to watch Anatomy of a Fall tho, maybe i should check that first.

Please don’t compare Oppy to 1917, it’s better than that.

Nah, Robert Downey, Jr. Had 23 minutes in the film and honestly he wasn't integral to the movie. Ryan made the movie, singing dancing and playing instruments, and without Gosling, the movie would not have been such a big hit.

I’m sorry but you really thought Ryan was going to win over RDJ, boy bye anybody could’ve played ken, what a joke but no one could do better than RDJ in that role …

I keep personal opinions of performance out of my predictions as often what’s best doesn’t always win. I knew RDJ stood a strong chance. He’s my personal preference. But Gosling is often cited as the standout in Barbie…the one that “stole” the film. Often, that leads to a win.

definitely not anybody could have played ken and RDJ was way overrated in oppi, he’s not even the best supporting performance in his own film lmao😂

Can you answer why Lily was a good performance? I am not seeing it and the only reason I am getting for her winning is her identity. That is not a good enough reason for me to root for her.

Omg finally someone had the same thoughts as mine,. Sandra Huller and Emma Stone should be stealing the spotlight, but Lily's got that "Diversity" label plastered all over her, and you know award season would be a hot mess online if she snagged the win. Thank goodness the CCA had some sense. I adored Killers of the Flower Moon, but let's keep it real, her performance wasn't exactly "award-worthy.
