Retrospective Best Picture Voting for past Oscars would be awesome, especially years like 2017 that has a lot of great and popular films nominated

I love how my top 3 picks (Anatomy of a Fall, Poor Things and Oppenheimer, in that order) were the 3 finalists in the experiment. Just goes to show how good those 3 were. Looking forward to what happens tonight

You've got to hand it to Ryan! I honestly can't think of another KZreadr that would go through this much trouble just for their subscribers!

A Brazilian channel I'm a big fan of, called Dalenogare, held an award show on his channel with votes from members, and used the preferential method to award the best film. The scenario was quite similar to that of your video; Oppenheimer was the most voted in the first round but didn't win, but in the redistribution ended up winning in the last round against Poor Things. I think this is similar to what might happen at the Oscars. Great video, hope to see more in the coming years.

Omg, I just watched the part where The Zone of Interest gets eliminated. I've been separated from my soulmate. They went to Oppenheimer and I went to Poor Things. I'm scared we'll never reunite. This is heartbreaking

Yay for my top 4 films being in the top-4. My fav was Past Lives, followed by Oppy, Poor Things, and Anatomy of a Fall. I love these ballots.

I’m very happy I got to stay on team Poor Things until the very end. Oppenheimer was my 2nd choice anyways, and I always knew it was winning.

How long has it been since the best picture winner (it's gonna be Oppenheimer and a massive box office hit) aligned with the popular vote from the audience? I think since "The Lord of the rings" 😮

That’s correct! The last movie to make more money than “Oppenheimer” was “Return of the King”! The movie that made the most money between those two years was “The King’s Speech” at $430 million.

It would be curious to know if there is any correlation between the films people rated highest/lowest. Like, people who put Oppie at number 1 might have been, for example, consistently putting American Fiction at number two or three. So it got eliminated early despite having more high ratings than some other films, because they were never counted.
