Its ok . There’s a little bit of misalignment between Jokoy and the audience appreciation of jokes. It’s ok , if they clap less doesn’t mean auidience has no sense of humor. Sometimes its not the kind of jokes theyre used to hear . Its all fine. Taylor ‘s reaction is not that bad . After all her fame , she is still a woman who is sensitive and wants to maintain some privacy . Let us not overreact . Nobody’s perfect Jokoy and TS are just human beings . We appreciate both of them , of what they do , providing us music and laughter.

In this case it's not that they can't take a joke, it's that he's not the slightest bit funny. People who are laughing look like they're forcing it or because the joke is about them. This is like the exact opposite of Ricky Gervais monologue a few years ago. Ricky's was funny and brutal and this guy was unfunny and soft. It's why his was so funny, there was a lot of truth to what he was joking about and that struck a nerve with many, instead joy is joking about the safest and most boring shit and it sucks because of that.If anyone is offended from his monologue it's because it's offensively unfunny.

One cool funny moment is the audience said F***'em (referring to the haters), Jo Koy thanked the fans and said you make me happy, and wasn't happy for four days. You know what's real funny? The part where Jo Koy was in St. Louis, Missouri, where he did his first stand up gig since hosting the Golden Globes and called out Hollywood and woke society Marshmallows becuase they are soft, Jo Koy got a massive cheers and standing ovation from the audience and laughing. Another funny but cool moment is when a audience got up and said F***'em (referring to the haters) it was also in the news headline

When the camera is put on a specific unsmiling person, and you hear other people laughing, that tells you that the cameraperson chose to focus on people who didn't like the jokes. It's like when Elia Kazan got his honorary Oscar; some people probably think of it as the night that Ed Harris refused to clap for Kazan or stand up... in fact, quite a few people refused to stand for Kazan, but the cameraperson chose to focus Ed Harris (and Amy Madigan) to save Kazan embarrassment. Don't allow yourself to be so easily manipulated.

His stand up is solid. I feel like this was writing, the jokes he had initially probably all got trashed by writers and he was allowed some but mainly had to do pre-written jokes. Hence whybwhen he felt it bombing he immediately went into throwing them under the bus. He's a veteran stand up comedian so I'm sure he knew he was going to bomb with the material and that was all built up inside and that was his "I told you these jokes would suck" moment

What could have been a fairly forgettable monologue was turned into a disaster simply because he got too self conscious on stage. I hope we're able to hear more about how he ended up here.
