They did not nominate Leo, Lily or Scorsese. But did nominate the movie for Film? Also did not nominate Dafoe, Ruffalo or Yorgos. But did for Film? They may need to revamp their voting system. They're making themselves look confused.

Oscar voting ended before BAFTA nominations were announced so these nominations aren't going to influence Oscar nominations. Having said that, I do think Leo's chances are slim this year. Andrew Scott or Coleman Domingo probably have a better chance of getting nominated over Leo.

Libatique 's cinematography in Maestro is terrific.

re original screenplay - I too would have preferred to see May December instead of Maestro, and Charles Melton has been a huge oversight all awards season. I like that the BAFTAs didn't line up with all the others though; it gets repetitive.
