Huge shout out to this channel! I just bought my 23 MT10 in Matte Raven Black on Sat (8/5/23) from Mountain Motorsports in Buford Ga THANKS to your dealer advice. I saved TONS of cash over another unnamed dealer network somewhat nearby and half the distance away. I live in SE Georgia so it made the 8hr round trip worthwhile. This bike is everything that it was dreamed to be.

Dude, I just picked up the 2023 model from the Mall of GA location of Mtn Motorsports. Amazing bike out of the box, but install a $260 Leo Vince decat pipe and get an ECU flash and tune for $300 and WOW. Picks up 12hp up top, 28hp at redline, and 10-15hp through most of the midrange. Totally transforms the bike and makes it feel much more like a naked R1...

Still getting used the additional weight and power. Already installed frame sliders and tank grips; and have ordered exhaust, windscreen, mirrors, tail tiddy. So far, its a great bike. I got to demo the 23’ mt10 at a demo day this past Saturday. I currently have a 2021 mt09 that out of 13 other bikes over the past 20 years, is hands down my favorite street bike. That being said, I love the mt10. It’s a completely different animal. The gear box, oh the gear box is probably the best I’ve ever felt. The bike is stable through turns, has plenty of power down low and in the midrange which TBH, I didn’t expect it to have…the rider position is close to perfection and the whole bike just feels refined compared to my MT09. Coming off of the MT10 I was almost sold that I wanted to trade up. Then I got back on my 09…I realized why I like the MT09 so much and still prefer it to the 10. The character of the triple is unlike anything else and is such a good all arounder. The way it feels and sounds and handles makes it so much fun! The MT10 is like a beautiful bike but I still like the design of the 09 better. The bike turns heads everywhere I go. I’m working on building another track bike so I’ve decided to go R1. That CP4 is just such a smooth monster but for the street, I like the feels of the CP3

I rode MT-10 ‘23 two days ago on a test ride, the most i like is a cp4 motor, the pull and sound after 6000rpm is awesome, its nimble, brakes are ok…….however, main issues why i am not going with it are following - 1. Footpegs are too high for me, you are sitting above the bike (i am 6’2”) and despite straight upward position you are somehow tending to lean forward a bit on handlebars, after 50 minutes of riding i definately felt pain in my neck from that. 2. Its quite jerky when riding slowly around the city traffic, its on-off in 1st and 2nd gear and you dont understand which gear is better for slow filtering, if you choose 3rd gear, its vibrating from bottom up. I drove it in B mode all the time. 3. You can hardly ride it above 90mph with headwind and its not helping a lot when you lay down on fuel tank. 4. The price is too high in my opinion, we can get it for 17000 euros which is like 18500-19000 USD. 5. The day was not hot when riding it, but yes, its getting hot very fast and you can feel it very soon. But at the end it can be enjoyable fun ride for short rides and wheelies.

A good flash makes even mode 1 or A (most aggressive) smooth, or it should. A flash from 2wheeldynoworks or Vcyclenut produces this. Changing brake pads to EBC DOUBLE-H SINTERED and it makes a HUGE difference. You're right, scroll wheel on new mt09's and mt10's are super cheap and cheesy. I'm selling my new gen '22 mt09 and keeping my 18 mt-10. Don't get me wrong, mt-09 is a fun bike but I'm just addicted to the beautiful cp4 in the mt10😊. With db killer out, yosh system it's SO loud it does piss a lot of folks off. I leave it in, only lose a couple hp. I picked up my '18 late last summer, it only had a thousand miles on it and I got it for $9,500. Another thousand dollars for an exhaust and Flash and you have an absolute ripper!

OC: Having owned a MT07, now a MT09 SP and even rode my gf's MT03 when she was choosing her first bike. I can say everyone will love the looks of the MT line-up until you get to the headlight. Honestly think Yamaha keeps the headlight polarizing just to sort out those who want to ride a excellent bike compared to those who only care about the looks of a bike. As far as purchase or pass on the new stock MT10. I gotta say pass. Going from my MT09 SP to the MT10 almost seems like a sideways move to me. Maybe that feeling would change if I test rode it, but I think my 2022 MT09 SP is perfect for me.

I wanted to like this bike and tested one out but I’m 6’2 and with the short wheel base it was not comfortable at all. Went with a 2023 Suzuki gsx S1000. Fit me perfect and love the k5 engine characteristics vs the mT10. Was going to get the superduke 1290 but hated the ergonomics the most on the ktm. Never thought I’d end up on a Suzuki but that’s what felt the best, handled the best and has a wicked mid-top pull in all gears. Quick shifter was noticeably smoother than the mt10 and 1290. But the mt10 was very fun to drive and had a few more bells and whistles vs my Suzuki but it just felt small on the saddle.

I like the looks of both the mt10 and z900. Two bikes that seam very controversial. They look like 2 bikes trying to make a statement that they arent just another street bike. As an fjr1300 owner i love everything about my bike but the weight. It feels slow to turn in and despite the 1300cc engine it doesnt feel very punchy around town despite being able to run low 11/ high 10 second quater miles. If the mt10 could get a varient more similar to the outgoing fz1 with the center stand and sleightly lower seat but modern suspension and cruise control i think itd be my ideal bike.

Coming from a 2021 MT09SP, to the base MT10, it depends on your riding style and roads. If you ride more inside the city the MT09 is better if you ride more freeways and longer distances the MT10 shines, both are great agile and flickable bikes. I really did love my 09 now I love the 10 too. The 10 has more power everywhere and it is not scary, it builds its power gradually and smoothly.

I have the '23 model and am pretty disappointed in the performance. Yamaha have had to strangle it to get through emission rules. I'd have to spend the best part of £1000 to rectify. Should've got the previous model.

Big question (for me): Which is BETTER- the MT-10 or the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT? I know they are somewhat different animals; but if you put a small shield on the MT-10 and a luggage rack to make it more of a Sport Tourer... how would it compare? (I don't care about the GT side cases)

Agreed. Funnily enough though, I actually really liked the old design. Same goes for the MT-09 and MT-07 too. They butchered 3 great looking bikes and I can't figure out why. The previous gen MT-09 is one of the best looking Nakeds ever made imo, but the new gen just looks awful.

I wouldn't necessarily take them in that order per say but I'm personally a huge fan of the mt bikes. Not a huge fan of the new 07 and 09 front ends but eh

That and because you said your going to post the 1 month ownership video soon when you posted the og mt 10 sp video 2 months ago then your gonna post a comparason video which is what this video should have been to begin with. Maybe im still salty over the uninformed horrible 890 duke r review you made but consider it constructive criticism. Oc or whatever

I want to like this bike so bad but it's so freaking ugly I can't will myself to buy it because it's so ugly I wish they would at least offer it in red maybe that might mask over some of the ugly look. I don't know if it's just me but Yamaha has some of the ugliest looking bikes. Obviously Ducatis I would buy one if I want to put it in my living room and look at it every night they obviously are the best-looking bike. Hondas have some good-looking motorcycles but they might put me to sleep from boredom they're so boring and reliable LOL how about a bike that's over the edge and fairly good-looking a little tacky for my taste but performance is crazy and totally unreliable the KTM 1290 Super Duke. Nope I'm too busy in my life to be fixing it every night so I think I'm going to have to settle for the Hayabusa kind of in the middle Sick bike but fairly comfortable I think it looks pretty good too.
