2023 - TOUR OF IDAHO - DAY 1

Спорт

The tour of Idaho is a dirt bike event that consists of an unsupported, unassisted, 13 day, 2300 mile ride from Idaho's southern border with Utah to the northern border with Canada. Ride along and see what it's like to take on this challenge. Day one consists of 230 miles and took 22.5 hours to complete. I started in Milad City and ended in Pocatello Idaho.

What a hard core day. My motto has always been that it’s not an adventure unless is starts or ends in the dark. You did both so that makes for an epic adventure! You showed some serious persistence to ride almost 24 hours and deal with all that you were dealt.

Am I the only one waiting for the grizzly bear to appear? LOL. Cool video. Looking forward to watching the series.

Awesome job I live in Pocatello I ride those trails weekly and for you to travel 170ish miles then conquer robbers is an impressive feat.

I’m about 3/4 the way through day one, and I’ll watch them all. I didn’t know this was a thing. I started off thinking you were nuts starting at mid-night, and that this looked like a lot of fun. As your day went on and your 18 hours in with 5 hours to go, I’m thinking damn, good thing you did start at midnight, and this doesn’t look fun anymore. I can see how only a few people have completed it. I don’t think I’d have made it past day one. Enjoying watching you go

1: watching and rooting for you big time all the way from little old England: YOU ARE A DAMN TROOPER sir, so are all who try this. 2: I cannot put into words how hard this must be mentally. 3: you are so lucky to have such a vast landscape to ride which leads me onto 4. 4: If i said i could imagine or comprehend how this must feel i would be lying, i have done long trips here on our island and we can get bad weather (most of the time hahahaa) and exposed terrain but the sheer area you are in is just unimaginable to people like me here. 5: what a shame they have stopped the event, what a shame. I know this is in the past but i am going to watch each episode and i truly hope you make it, i really do.

I was a little surprised to see you back. You must be a gluten for punishment, lol. As always, very entertaining and impressed with your personal fortitude. I was telling Shonky Productions about you carrying a chain saw and gave him a link to your set up in v1 of last year.

Awesome job editing these! I’m still trying to put together our footage from 2023, but I don’t have your video skills… You were just ahead of us last year, team “That’s what she said”. I loved your ‘22 videos and I’m loving this one so far! Such an epic adventure, and as a Soloist you have my utmost respect, finishing or not!

Thank you.. It is a 2017 FE350. I do a walk around in day five. I custom made the tank bag. Shinko 216 fat on the front. Tusk Recon hybrid 120 on the rear. Motoz, UHD natural rubber tubes.

Same bike I have. Now at least I know the bike is capable. Just need to work on my skills a little more. Wow, tubes huh?! I figured bibs for something this difficult. You are an inspiration sir. Because of you I want to attempt this challenge. Not solo (at least not at first). About to watch your second installment. Great editing by the way.
