Braves fan so a little biased but Braves bringing back acuna who when healthy is a top 10-15 mlb player and elite duo at Catcher, great 1st baseman, 3rd baseman, bringing all star level player in Ozzie back healthy, Michael Harris and Vaughn Grissom being young players who played great, the only weakness is left field or maybe ss if Grissom regresses. Young talented rotation with soroka coming back at some point, and elite bullpen. Stros are just as good but can be argued that Braves, stros, dodgers, Mets, padres are all number 1. There are some amazing teams this year

I think either Braves or Astros at #1 would have been fine theses two team have won the last two WS and are built for the long haul. With the Braves getting a healthy Acuna back with that stacked lineup and a top 3 pitching staff it’s hard to argue with his arrangement of the two team. Houston on the other hand is probably the most balanced team in all of baseball.

@@dawgs.229 yeah i agree. Braves fan here and I’m more confident in this team than the ws roster. But the astros have done an amazing job just like the Braves of making a complete team with little to no weaknesses. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we have a Braves Astro’s ws again. The playoffs this year with all these competitive teams should be really fun

Mariners at 13 is… disappointing. The team is significantly better than they were last year. Almost all of their holes were filled this off-season and 4 of their best players didn’t even play a full season last year. Such a young team too. Do you think they’ll regress? Even ignoring context, I don’t think a team with one of the best rotations in baseball and a solid lineup should be that low.

Hope the twins make some noise this year (like the loudest, aka deep post season) because Royals (and probably tigers on a similar timeline) gonna be slapping dem around soon. Guardians are rad, love kwan and Naylor (s). JRam is a beast (god damn imagine if he played for the royals). Chi sox kinda weird. Grifol may help a lot...but yeah, weird club *wink*. Baseball!

Twins filled most of their needs this offseason but the bullpen is still concerning & losing Arraez stinks. Cleveland had two needs this offseason & filled both: Power DH/1st baseman and a catcher that can hit above .200 while still having good defense. Should be fun!

Refreshing take on a topic that seems to always result in pretty much the same order. Surprised about the Braves, I knew they were good but I must have been sleeping on them a little bit. Yankees are over-rated, most of their lineup is made of all-stars past their prime. But then again this could be the year they win it all. That's why we hate them. The dodgers will contend but this year I think the World Series Champs will be a surprise to most baseball fans. Will the Mets finally get their shit together? Can the Padres stay healthy to compete all season? Will the post season curse of the Twins finally be broken? (probably not). I think this year is going to be wild. Especially with the shift not being an option. There's going to be a lot of fun baseball to watch this year, which makes the fanbase the real winners.

Braves have a hole at LF, and it's going to be an ugly one at times this season, but that said, they're exceptional at every other position, with potential All-Stars at 6 or 7 spots, plus a very deep bench and pitching rotation. The Astros may have no holes, but, I would take the Braves 4-5 best players just a bit above the Astros best 4-5, and the Braves starting and relief battery just a bit ahead of the Astros also. Either team could be #1 for sure, so long as they stay moderately healthy, and they're definitely the two to beat at the top.

Mets do have depth. Alvarez and Baty offer depth and upside. Tommy pham 4th outfielder is fine depth. Luis guillorme severely underrated. In the rotation megill and Peterson and eliesar Hernandez are fine depth. I don't see how this depth is any worse than the Padres or braves. But seeing how you ranked the Yankees I think you're falling into media bias. You see coverage of a non favorite team so much and hear people gushing over them but then say to yourself this team has holes though. And you're right, because every team has holes but you accentuate them for the heavily covered teams but for a team like the Padres you forget who they have and look at them with a brighter lens.
