I know Correa was kind of a re-sign, but nobody saw him in a Twins uni in 2023. Lopez and Gallo...solid. No retread pitchers this year. I say the Twins stole the show.

I think one non player move that's going to pay off is the Astros signing Dana Brown from the Braves organization. Dude's got an eye for scouting talent and has already shown he's willing to do whatever it takes to re-sign key players to long term, team friendly deals by extending Cristian Javier to a 5 year, 65 Million deal.

The Twins are so deep at every position. They are injury proof and are built for a 162 regular season games. However, they are not top heavy and will get bounced in the playoffs (if they even make it).

Ain no way the Yankees get an A: other than Rodon signing, the rest of the roster is essentially the same

Yankees don't deserve an A. In fact, they deserve a C or lower - they still haven't addressed LF, and are a starting pitching injury away from being in serious trouble with Montas already out the 1st month of the season (likely to be longer if he needs shoulder surgery), Sevy and Rodon have injury concerns, and Cortes has a high risk of regressing due to the shift bans + the fact he had a abnormally low BABIP - without the shifts, he's a backend starter/long reliever at best.

Nestor cortes could regress, but he has a cristian javier type fastball which causes lots of pop ups

Giants also got Mitch Haniger, who is a great addition. His injuries have been just mostly bad luck.

The fact that Benintendi is the biggest free agent signing in White Sox history is so stupid. They are 1 or two pieces away from championship contention, but won't do anything is disappointing.

I personally give the Giants a "D" for the offseason more viewing the lens of "what they needed" vs "what they got" They only needed minimal help in the pitching but over-acquired in that area which is not nearly as much of a problem as what they actually needed. They needed a legit centerfielder (struck out), needed middle infielders who field (struck out), some arms to get to Doval our closer (got those), and some actual all star postion players (SUPER STRIKE OUT). It wasn't a train wreck but what they got was not what they needed and again on extreme player-friendly deals that cap our upside which we really need more of right now. I don't mind one bit about letting Rodon go but they didn't give fans any reason to care about them this year.

The Murphy trade still confuses me, the A's front office is braindead and there was no reason for the Brewers to be in that trade

With Mitch Garver back it should help Jonah Heim offensively. We’re also getting a full season of Josh Jung. Got a lot of talent competing for LF too.

Despite not doing much, I think the White Sox are generally good enough to improve from last year I’m super high on Cleveland so I don’t think they’re winning the central but they’re young and talented enough to see a bounce back if they stay healthy and see some improvement from the young guys

I think the jays deserve an A-. Not only are the guys they brought in good, but Ross Atkins is in a way playing moneyball baseball trying to build a squad around a certain scheme. Scheme is to have high upside pitchers and get them with one of the best pitching coaches in baseball and fix their issues along with having their positives which is them being flamethrowers. Then to bring in good outfielders who can play defense at a very high level. Which is all of what they did bringing in Varsho, Kiermeier, and Julian Fernandez/Junior Fernandez

I feel like the Guardians did what they knew they had to do this offseason: upgrade catcher, and upgrade 1b/DH. They did that, so although I would've loved to see them use the prospect surplus they have to trade for someone to put this team over the top, I think they could have gotten a B- or a B.

The Mets giving a contract extension to Brandon Nimmo was huuuge. Anyone who is pro-analytics, knows that he is an elite player when healthy. Nimmo is the real deal.

Losing Bogey sucks, but he wasn't worth the money San Diego paid him. Story moving to Short is an automatic upgrade.

Yes, I think the Orioles are being extremely strategic. Picking up any high-quality guy on a multi-year deal it's just going to serve as a blocker for the loaded farm system that we have. Literally if 25% of the guys we have in the minors pan out to be average or above average contributors at the major league level then we're going to be in a really good spot in the next few years. I do think the Orioles got better and I do think that the wild card is in our reach

It's pretty unfortunate that in an offseason that had so much talent on the move, you had nearly half the teams in the league unsure if they'll get their TV revenue for the next couple years, which definitely had some of them reigning in spending. No doubt it was just an excuse for some of those teams, though.

My opinion is that they go young and go after big guys (Shohei, Reynolds, etc). They will also spend money on guys that they could fix like they did with Shelby Miller, Alex Reyes, etc.

Miranda 3B (121) 6. Kirilloff 1B (106) 7. Lewis DH (118) 8. Gallo LF (112) 9. Vazquez C (94) the pitching has some real depth in the rotation too and established arms in the bullpen like Thielbar, Jax, Duran and Lopez. yet people still talk about this roster like its worth 79 wins.

Dodgers seems to be aiming to get under that luxury tax and aim for big names next season. could also trade for certain Angels players later on 👀

As a Mets fan, I usually agree with Marc, but the Mets off-season was just replacing players who left the team and re-signing Nimmo and Diaz, I would have given them B

As an orioles fan, it is in fact disappointing when they have one of the cheapest rosters in the league due to being a bunch of rookies and rather than use the excess money to get them over the hump, I guess they're content with being a middle of the pack team for a few more years, then trade away all those 1st overall picks they got when it comes time to pay them.

man im really dissapointed with our offseason, i guess we are just hoping a lot of our players have comeback years which isnt too far our of reach since a lot of our players had season worst careers and we still have a lot of talent with eloy and robert, we could still definitly have a comeback year if we can reach our potential

Losing Abreu definitely hurts you, but I think you’ll still finish with a better record than last season with La Russa gone. Getting to the playoffs is the real question.

Dylan Spain went 10-14 with a 4.24 era(1-6 with a 5.64 as a freshman) as a starter at a non D-1 school but went 10th round in 2021 to the Braves, he has size at 6-6. In 2022 at A+ for the Braves he went 0-5 with a 5.30 era with 7 starts in 36 games played.

Jerry Reinsdorf, the tyrant of Chicago Sports, is upset about this offseason too. Not enough cash considerations.

I think Josh Bell SHOULD give the Guardians a B-minus. He's not just a a power bat, he's a power bat that the Guardians DESPERATELY needed. Their big flaw last year was a total lack of power hitting.

I think people def overreacted at the Giants offseason, it really wasn’t bad but more of a what could have been. We got a lot of depth like Stripling, Manea, Haniger, Conforto, bringing back Joc, bringing in Taylor Rogers and Luke Jackson. We have a lot of prospects that are ready or almost ready to play in the Majors like lefty fireballer Kyle Harrison

Realistically Braves get a B, their moves weren’t needle movers, and they still have a question mark at SS. Rays get a B, They spent money not a lot but more than they have in the past, and from my amateur eye the guy they got from Ji-Man Choi trade could be a top tier closer with some more reps. The Mets, I’ll give a B+, Kodai Senga could be the next ace which is scary or he’s Kenshin Kawakami who basically played Double A. I’ll eat my words if he is tremendous.

The Tigers are effectively undergoing another rebuild. While hoping that the players they have improve. So overall C- or D+

Josh Bell and Mike Zunino additions for the Guardians should be at least a B. That's a good offseason for a team that never spends money and had few holes to fill. They got exactly what they were looking for and did it for relatively cheap

The Rays did add some depth stuff and I liked the Eflin signing. They didn’t really need to do anything - just stay healthy and we’ll be fine.

I'm a Rockies fan. The Monforts will never sell the team. 3M+ ppl come to the ballpark every summer. Always top ten in attendance. Coors Field is the nicest outdoor bar in the world. It's time we start mentioning the Monforts as one of the worst owners in all of professional sports with James Dolan and Daniel Snyder.

To defend the Cardinals' lacking off-season moves, Jordan Walker and Masyn Winn are hella good prospects, and their expected to make the MLB roster, so they are leaving space for them.

So many names I didn’t know. They feel like they were tucked away within their teams for a year or two, maybe most of them backups, since being called up and were let loose and weakly picked up

After the Mets lost Correa it was not an “a” offseason this is just classic Marc Mets biased

Anthony Bass was traded at the deadline last year, not a new acquisition for Toronto. Although a full season of him should indeed make the team better, as the bullpen was much better the second half of the season, which was perhaps lost among a disastrous collapse against the Mariners.
