These are always great videos. A couple of notes....the MP weighs more than the S - 11.0 ounces string (312g). There is a 2021 Gravity Tour which is slightly lighter and faster with a thicker beam than the Pro (323g strung and 325 SW). It also has an 18x20 string pattern.

Hey Harry, thanks for going over the line. I actually really like the color update! Much better then the red/green combo. I also want to mention - Ash Barty endorses a Gravity racquet too, which I find super interesting bc her playing style is way different than Zverev's. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

If they don't play with Gravity, they play with something very similar, because the mold is the same, the head speed older than 2012 versions. Don't look at the playing style so much, this raquet can be used for everything

If you look at pictures with Barty and her racquet, you can see that the string pattern is still 16x19, which doesn't exist in the Gravity line. Previously, she endorsed the Speed line, which it wasn't either. I think Head changed her paint job in the middle of AO a few years ago, which tells you something. Barty is said to be using the Head TGK263 pro stock frame.

  • @cpuleo

Thanks guys. I realize that these racquets are really just the paint job for the pro players, so I guess I'm just more wondering about the type of customer they are trying to market the Gravity line to, being that they are using Barty and Zverev to advertise this line.

@@cpuleo I think Barty's got a non-Gravity racquest, just a paint job. Zverev plays with a Gravity Pro, customized of course, and so does Rublev, who is still under a Head contract, but is using a blacked out customzed Gravity Pro.

Clash is much more arm friendly. stiffness of clash is 55RA compared to gravity's 62RA. another big difference is the string pattern. clash is your standard 16x19 string pattern, while gravity has a denser string pattern with 18x20. clash can produce more spin due to string pattern being more open, but gravity has more power and control due to it being stiffer and more head heavy, and also having a denser string pattern.

He is well meaning, but he makes lots of mistakes in this presentation. Look at the white board and check out the weights of the various rackets, especially the MP. Also he makes a mistake about stiffness, saying that flexible rackets are more powerful. It's exactly the opposite. The most important measure of power is swing weight. If you don't believe these comments, please refer to Technical Tennis by Rod Cross and Crawford Lindsay. This book will give you a better understanding of various racket and string characteristics.
