All the bow companies make left handed bows last. They release new bows in November and make the right handed bows first. Usually in January they make the left handed bows. It sucks because I’m a lefty as well and you get your left handed bows in February. They might have some lefties at the ATA or other shows.

Say you're shooting a hinge and when you release your pressure is a little bit different from one time to another are you going to get lower feet per second from the chronograph if you weren't equally putting the pressure through on the push and pull have you ever looked at that I know you used a hooter shooter before so let me know I hope I asked question right I Kno it sounds weird but I swear at 30yards in my back yard I can hear when arrows his target an you know when you make a good solid shot an I feel like sometimes I can tell the arrows are hitting harder I don't have the best bow but it's a 2019 holt nitrux it's at 65# at 30in I think my drawengthi is more like 30.5 caz I've messed with d loop length an I have it at 3/4 so I'm guessing I need a rx4 ultra or a Mathew's I never shot any other bow anyway hope I don't sound crazy just wondering your opinion thank you 🤙🤙🤙🇺🇸

This year marks my 40th archery season. This is the first bow review I've watched in a long time. After hearing the different weights you shoot at I grabbed an arrow from my quiver and weighed it at 700 grains (2419 with bear broadhead). This year I dropped my weight down to mid 50s. I used to pull a hundred but now I struggle at 65. When I was young I ticked off the old guys by going for speed. I bought a york st overdraw at 80 lbs and graphlex arrows. I paid $180 for that bow. The lower limb broke because the little weight acted like I was dry firing. Back then we calculated the kenetic energy because deer needed more than 50 or something like that. I'll stick to my quiet powerful set up. I've used the same arrow and broadhead to kill 3 deer a few times. The last new bow I bought was a Pearson Spoiler in 1989 for I think $220. BTW I still use the rope release I bought in 1986. I collect antique English longbows(horn tipped) and have probably 50 of them from 1820 to around 1935. I looked up a price of over $2200 for the bow you tested and cannot believe it. When Lone Wolfe came out with there first climber I gave around $500 for it maybe a dozen years ago and put money where I think its needed. So I'm not just some cheap old guy. Thanks for the review.

Best holding and drawing bow I have had is a Creed XS it is so smooth and weighs 3.8 pounds. They haven’t beaten that weight since then and it’s 6 years old. I tried about 15 bows and the draw cycles were so harsh I did not have fun shooting them. The only new bows that had a nice cycle were the TRX36-40 bowtech revolt x Hoyt axius or the aluminum one it was fairly smooth fast quite and pretty balanced out the box like a Mathews.

I can't keep buying a new bow each year but...Since I have the RX1 already, I am mostly interested in the firmer back wall for the hold. This might eliminate some of the vertical stringing errors from me not pulling thru to the back wall consistently. This sounds like a great bow with improvements that will make a difference to the avid shooter.

I’m a long draw guy who’s impatiently waiting for a shop in my area to get the rx4 ultra to make my last comparison to the sweetest shooting bow I’ve shot so far, the Mathews Traverse. The pse evoke and evo nxt33 shot well but not as fun as or easy as the traverse. In your opinion will the rx4 ultra be a worthy competitor for the Mathews Traverse? I have no brand loyalty, I just want to build the best bow for me. Weight, let off and smooth draw are the 3 Priorities for my worn out shoulders. Any insight and /or unbiased opinions would be helpful. Love all your reviews on bows and equipment. Keep up the good work

I’m looking to upgrade and have been looking at this now, the Mathews 31.5 VXR or the PSE Evo NTN. I am shooting groups of about 2-3 inches at 60 yards but want to shoot out to 80-100 yards but wanted to go to a spot Hogg Hogg father sight as I’m using a 5 pin older Trophy Ridge. Any suggestions out there on which bow to go for? I’ve only shot HOYT all my life but maybe it’s time to switch it up.

For all you speed freaks out there, here are the IBO calculations for the speeds in this video. This gives you a good idea as to what the bow does at full rotation at 30" and under rotation at 28". I have done this with a lot of bows and believe it or not, these numbers are pretty good at the bottom end of the cam. At 30" the bow is well over IBO as well. weight - fps - IBO +/- 30/70 509g - 271fps (-3 fps IBO) 475g - 283fps (0 fps IBO) 445g - 302fps (+10 fps IBO) 420g - 306fps (+6fps IBO) 376g - 325fps (+10fps IBO) 28/70 509g - 246fps (-14 fps IBO) 475g - 260fps (-8 fps IBO) 445g - 267fps (-9 fps IBO) 420g - 278fps (-5fps IBO) 376g - 288fps (-10fps IBO)

@@InsideOutPrecision What I like about Hoyt compared to other manufacturers is there IBO numbers are generally conservative. Even in the middle of the cam they are usually very close to IBO which most other brands are not. Also, the stated draw lengths are very close to what they advertise whereas Mathews and a few others are long. I shoot Hoyt at 29" and Mathews at 28.5. That 1/2" difference equals some speed

G’day guys keep in mind I am not a professional archer (I don’t get paid), but I know heaps about archery because I watch lots of KZread and know some very amazing shooters. The reason this would be a great bow for a first is for a couple of reasons, first of all the price, hoyt although being an excellent bow are like the apple of phones, your paying for the name, and when I saying that I mean your paying more than a lot of other bow brands, secondly Hoyt bows are quite complicated and finicky, also I have heard that over a while the carbon riser bends under the pressure, which is okay for most guys who buy them every couple of years but for someone looking for a bow that will last them a while I can be argue that although the difference in weight a alloy riser is better (for example mathews), another reason is skill level, so many people wanna get into the sport and they go all out and buy a really complicated compound when really they should start with something like a recurve (simple and let’s you learn the basics, and overall increase your form and stance without anything to complicated (it’s how I started back in 2015)) but if you have done this and are looking for a compound bow then I suggest buying a cheaper entry level bow that still has the performance there, when I started I was quite up young so I got a diamond edge sb1 purely because of the fact that I could grow with it and it’s still had great performance, just recently diamond has sent me a new one free of charge on warranty which is amazing and I have set it up, lastly it mostly about money do heaps of research and don’t just buy a bow cause it looks good absorb as much information about it as you can before making a purchase and it’s all about what suits your budget. Let me know if you have any other questions

I spent $2400 on my RX3 build in May and I’d do it again tomorrow. However i shoot about 3 to 4 times a week. But i totally get it. These things are getting to be ridiculous as far as price. I think my bow BARE was like $1400 on sale marked down from $1699. That’s a LOT of cash for a bow. But if you spend good money on optics and accessories and you get a new bow ideally you could sell your old one to fund for the new one and put all your accessories on the new bow. But there’s guys out there with like 6 or 7 bows lol. Personally i just want one target build and one hunting build. But i have to agree the price on these things is a tough pill to swallow. I got mine for myself as a Birthday present. I do love it though. It’s one of my most favorite things i own. I’ve already gone through 3 target bags with it. So I’m definitely getting my use out of it. But now that the new ones are out you can maybe grab a Helix for a steal! Those are still great bows. My buddy still shoots a Hyperforce and those can be had for $600 easily now that the new ones are out.

Torque (ie) bow, twists at the shot..always looks nice...more hand shock and noise then other high end bows....feels like a large bow...its an ok bow..just dont shoot other high end bows next to it. Not to take away from this guy's review skills because he obviously knows what he is talking about. However, you kept saying something in the video that kept catching my attention. "Same" "Just like last years" "little difference". While not trying to beat a dead horse here, this is a problem when it comes to a flagship bow in my opinion. I understand that you can't come up with game changing innovations every single year but this year seems to be the year of very little changes (if any) but still a very large price tag to go along with the same thing they produced last year. Mathew's has done a even worse job this year then hoyt. They changed the riser ever so slightly and then added a button for you to hook your pull up rope/bow sling on and used it as a key selling point. They took it even one step further and ask you to spend another 60$ on this "feature" for 4 small screws, 2 pieces of machined aluminium, and a 30' paracord and market the paracord as a Mathews exclusive bow rope......Are you serious? Then on top of that they want 90$ for a bow sling after you've spent the 60$ for the "SCS system". These hunting companies are getting ridiculous. 3000$ plastic deer blinds, 1000$ bow sites, 500$ trail cameras, 600$ for a lock on and climbing sticks, and now naked bows for 1100 to 2000$ that are the exact same thing they came out with last year.

You don’t make big changes to something that’s really good. That’s what they’ve done here. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. They made the back wall much firmer, added 1/8 of brace height and kept the same IBO of 342. I hope they don’t change much again this year and just make small changes that are needed and modifications or fixes.
