Great review, The one thing I would change would be going with the Hoyt stabilizers. Front and back bar that should calm it down abit.

Thanks for the watch and I’m glad you enjoyed it! They’re definitely great for killing vibe, I just built one for a customer and that’s what he opted to roll with.

I have been stuck between the Mathews V3X (I currently own,) the Phase 4 and this one, the VTM 34!

I see you are not using the lower damper that came with the bow.

Thanks for watching! I personally don’t like the feel of the mini bar on the bottom, I don’t feel like I lose any damping either so it’s a win win for me.

Great review. I just bought one. Can you buy after market grip for it or is it best to take the grip off.

Thank you! Per my knowledge there is only one company making side plates for the Newer Vital point grip Generation bows. Black Claw grips and they are only on Facebook. I did end up shooting this bow without the grip I felt it was a little too bulky. One thing I did was add some 3M grip tape to help with slip!

They had yokes before, what's more tunable than that aside from bowtech or elite? I like the cam system better as well being binary it requires shims

Shims/Spacers can be a little more difficult to work with than the yoke system due to having to drop the cam out of the bow. However, I feel that with the new HBX Pro cam it allows for a more drastic change in cam lean resulting in an easier time correcting horizontal flight issues. Yokes are nice but there are two negatives I’ve found over the years of working with them on Hoyts. First, you’re limited with how much you can correct a tear without coming close to missing the stop and or throwing spec and timing way out(obviously we try to avoid that issue). Second, we’re only able to work with the top cam so we can’t play with all the pieces to the puzzle. I’m going to add one more con and it is that a yoke is string material so it can stretch whether that’s in 50 shots or 500 shots it can still stretch, so that can really play a big factor in how long your bow stays “tuned”. Long story short I’m a fan of the newer simplified shim/spacer systems like Hoyt’s spacer, Mathews Top hats, and Primes Shims solely because I believe it locks the bows lean in with affecting very little of the other components. Thanks for watching!

@CloserOutdoors I've dealt with them all. Yokes are near the top for me because they add an additional way of getting timing perfect. I do agree about the top only yokes not being as good as something like bowtechs before they moved to the deadlock. If I had to shim a bow it would and I could pick, mathews is a no Brainer with the new pse system behind that. Deadlock beats them all though. Hoyts I've managed to shim with the bow in the press still, pse to but it is a pain. I really want to try a darton with their e system. I think it could be done without a press similar to the mathews stay afield or like an apa but I've got to try it

@@jordanpowell228 I 100% agree that’s the nicest thing about yokes! I’m in no way saying I dislike yokes either they’re very effective at what they do. I have to look at the Darton system I’m not to familiar with their newer bows.
