I now own this truck in that same color but with almost every option you can select. I got rid of a 2016 tundra crew max and this truck drives like a Cadillac. So smooth and quiet and feels like it has more power then the tundra. People need to drive every truck then make a purchase instead of looking at horsepower and torque numbers. Great review

Don’t know why people hate on these trucks there’s some things I don’t like but I think overall it’s a good looking truck especially in the trail boss trim I like the size of the truck the height and the headroom .....it should also last about a 100,000 miles more than a RAM lol.

This my exact truck. Love it.

I test drove this Truck yesterday day and i loved the way it drove. I was going to get a Gladiator, but not now this will be the truck i get. Also the truck i test drove had different exhaust package it sounded awesome, but could only get them down to 48k still a good deal.

Own a 2019 high country...I looked at the overall picture and with what chevy puts out, if you take care of the silverado it'll take care of you. Everyone looks down on the Silverado's interior, but I'm not getting a truck to ask everyone if you want to check out my interior. Gotta remember that chevy listened to true silverado owners and combined technology with what always worked. Stay true chevy owners!

My sticker was 57k on my trail boss. I got mine for 49k. And my tundra sr5 crewmax had 97k miles and they gave me 26k for it. I think I made a good deal. And this truck drives and runs like a dream.

2020 GMC elevation crew cab 4x4

Was looking at one but couldnt get my head around how these gm trucks are easily getting stolen. Bought a tundra for the reliability but will definitely consider this one in 2-3 years(once they sort out the security of these vehicles), or a raptor once they put a v8 in it, or a new trd pro when they update it. Lol so many options but everyone of them has flaws.

This Trail Boss Package would be a great Truck to have the new InLine 6 diesel available in it! Just imagine the low end torque and overlanding fuel mileage! Plus I say GM should even make the InLine 6 DuraMax available in the new HD trucks! Maybe even as a standard engine? Or at least a mid level option in them. Along with in their full sized Van! Once of course GM get the production up an running!

Today I traded my2017 ram 2500 that was always overloaded with the 5th wheel. For a 2019 ram 3500 tradesman with the HO engine and upgrade trans. Less than 60k it is a really nice truck. I know this is not about the truck in the video but I wanted to post BTW great video

Same here - bought a used '19 for just under $43k. 33,000 miles. Downsized from '19 Duramax as I am not towing anymore. Love both trucks but the TB handles and rides much better.

Exactly, research and find out facts b4 thinking and definetly b4 overpaying.... But no parts and labor are different.....kit is $900-1200 and labor is whatever your dealer charges......still you can build one tho, and sets of TB wheels are all over ebay

I’ve looked over the trail boss and liked it I was excited about the AT4 all nice, but If I’m spending anything for either I’m waiting for the Ford Tremor F250 that’s the most impressive so far.

I have the exact same truck

I like this truck a lot. With the lift it looks better than Ford (outdated) and the RAM (too feminine - except the Rebel which looks good). The only thing I don’t like is the infotainment center - it looks dated - but in some way a truck needs to be more simple so it’s not horrible. I’ll probably be trading my truck in in December so it’s either this Trail Boss or the Rebel - I need to drive both.

What’s better high country or trail boss

So price out an LT 4x4 Z71 vs LT TB and see what cost difference is.......a suspension lift and tires is easy to do on your own........willing to bet you can get a much better lift with better shocks/wheels for alot less than retail of LT TB......so just depends if you wanna drive off the lot with it or spend lil time and do it yourself....... MY choice was LT TB but decided to get RST 4X4 and do it myself. After all said and done basically same truck (minus 2sp transfer which I believe Z71 has but wasnt huge to me) and i will come out way way ahead.....over 10k on price after I put susp/wheels

The Custom TB doesn't even have the center storage bin in the back of the jump seat like this truck. It's also stuck with the old 6-speed and only comes with 3.42's. It also has much worse headlights (halogen instead of LED). It's a lot to give up for the small difference in price.

You have to think outside box and be creative.....its your money make most of it....buy an LT 4X4 and throw susp and tires on it, my choice was custom TB until I saw it I bought RST 4X4 and can throw susp and tires on it for hair more than custom TB and basically have LT TB......for alot less than 50k custom TB was joke for money they want..... Buy all features you cant install or are expensive and do easy stuff yourself.......hell GM sells the lift kit for $1300 and 500-600 to install.....you can buy any chevy 4x4 and have this done.......sell your stock rims and tires new and they will almost pay for your new ones!.....tack on 2k to any 4x4 and you can have any TB YOU WANT!

I went this week and tried out 2 trucks. The Ram and Chevy. Ram interior kills this trucks and the seats were way more comfortable. Ram just felt better... I like the way the Chevy looks better but for comfort and looks on the inside. The ram wins. If anyone is interested I seen on KZread were you can buy an aftermarket 12 inch screen for the Chevy. Looks really good. Just yt it. Can’t remember who makes it though. Sorry

Unfortunately for Ram, there's a lot more to what makes a truck a good truck than just interior styling or how car-like the ride is. Every truck has trade offs. With the Ram, the payload ratings can be downright terrible. I've seen 2019 Ram 1500 Limiteds with a payload ratting of just 990 lbs. I hope a guy doesn't buy that truck and expect to pull his travel trailer with the crew cab filled with people and their stuff in the bed.

hochhaul not sure where you got that number. But it shows 1770 on their website... most of the trucks are pretty close in towing. One maybe slightly better than the other. But I doubt ram’s going to sell a 60k truck and it tow that amount... but I don’t tow much any way.. just my fishing boat which ram does just fine for me.... so I’ll take the more comfy and better looking interior To bad I can’t get a ram interior with the Chevy exterior. Lol.

Ford offers the column shifter and jump seat as standard equipment. With console shifter as in sport option which I prefer as shown in your video. Nice trucks but overpriced nonetheless.

The problem with the console shifter is that it wastes so much of the console space. If you and the old lady have drinks, you're left having to stash smartphones and other stuff out of reach.

@@msknoledge1 I have the Trail boss Custom, comes with the 6 speed transmission. I've been reading that the 6 speed is an "Adaptive transmission" suppose to learn from your driving habits. Mine was fine the first 2k miles, and started around 2500 miles. i now have 4k miles and its acting up more frequently. Really weir that some days its fine and shifts OK

I did alot of research on before I decided on a truck and the main problem with Chevy they was having transmission issues and Chevy was only flushing the transmission out for the fix and still having the same problem. Plus 60,0000 miles for a warranty is not good to me a brand new truck, so I even up and get in the tundra 2018 I just went for reliability I have to work.

Honestly not needed. The gearing in the 8 speed makes this truck really quick. Sure the 6.2 is still faster, bit only when you use the recommended premium fuel.

Last fall I took a good hard look at the Chevy, at the end of the day the inside of the truck looked and felt cheap. Seems like GM could do a better job with interior quality. I am sure the truck is capable but not with my cash. Plus the front end looks horrible. I am sure the designers are sketch new front end for the generation of Silverado because the look like crap in my opinion.

why would people buy this when they can get the f150 raptor with 450 hp and 510 torque. 355 hp is pretty sad for 60k truck. Even a normal 5.0 coyote outs out 395 hp and 400 torque

The 2019 Tundra TRD Pro comes with Fox suspension and it’s superior compared to this Chevy Trailboss.

This truck totally feels like a lower trim package on the inside. Chevy missed the mark overall with this truck

Like the exterior but the interior is the ugliest out of the new model trucks.. tundra is very sad but it looks better than this ... I own 2 Chevy vans for work and ram rebel 2020 but my vans look better tThan the trailboss in the interior.. the exterior is good but sometimes the front end looks to long ...

Talk to the Feds about: pollution requirements, CAFE requirements, driver and passenger air bag requirements, backup camera requirement, etc. You think it's too expensive? I just named about $12K in additional costs to meet federally mandated compliance requirements for vehicles. How much do you think the entire fuel delivery system costs (high pressure pump, fuel injectors, fuel control system, pollution monitoring / control, etc.) Compared to a carburetor and positive crankcase ventilation? And that's only ONE example. I could go into crash ratings and engineering and costs involved with that. People keep thinking trucks are the same as they were in 1970 - just more expensive. Nothing could be further from the truth.

@@buckhorncortez Whatever they are now, they're not necessarily more expensive. In 1999, a Silverado LT Ext cab 4x4 with no options had an MSRP of $31,039. Adjusted for inflation, that's $47,826.95 today. A 2019 Silverado LT Dbl cab 4x4 has an of $40,200. That's more than $7,000 less! So think about... You're talking about an objectively better vehicle for at least $7,000 less!

That truck is just plain ugly , and that column shift is dated from as far back as the 60’s with that bland refreshed interior . Ram 👍

Mr. Worf GM kept the column shifter based on their clientele. Most real truck owners want a column shifter, not a button. That button will eventually have issues one day. The interior will also outlast that Ram interior. The only Ram interior you’re speaking of is the Limited edition, which MOST people can’t begin to afford. This truck is meant to be affordable.

Most company trucks are garbage because no one treats them like it's their own truck, and then they fall apart. My company has about 10 or 15 chevy halftons in various years and just about every single one of them the inside of the doors are falling apart, all the handles are gone, some don't even have any paneling left on the door. It's not the trucks or the manufactures fault that people can't take care of them like they should.

It could be worse. Ford's interiors warp and distort and their beds are a total joke. Tin foil is a terrible bed material. They crack when they dent and those cracks spread if it isn't fixed. Build Ford Tough doesn't apply to the F-150 these days. The new Ram's payload ratings are just as pathetic as the last gen trucks were. 1400 lbs of payload is totally worthless if you plan on making use of the truck to tow and have people in the crew cab. Not to mention the reliability and quality control has been an utter embarrassment. I knew it was going to be bad having owned FCA trucks in the past, but it's way worse than even I expected.
