Those cars a for leasing. So not more than 4 years and 80000 before bmw sells them to foreign countrys. Btw... Not only bmw does this. Also every other top range german car brand ;)

I really wish all BMWs stopped playing artificial sounds through the speakers. It's just so unnecessary. Apart from that, the new X5 is a fantastic car. Interior looks fabolous! Beautifully made, very classy and upmarket. BMW seriously stepped up their game.

I have to disagree with your point on the speakers. I have this car myself, the G05 X5 M50D and have done now for just under 4 months. The reason I went for the M50D is because I want a sportier drive and feeling and the added noise just adds to the experience and is something I really love over the previous generation (of which I also had the M50D). But yeah, the interior is just a completely different level from the previous generation and the whole feel of the car is far superior! I love it 😍

@@olliebell7177 but if I wanted an X5, I want as little noise inside the cabin as possible. It's designed to be a supremely comfy, practical and refined SUV, not a sports car. That's why Active Sound Design is pointless in luxury BMWs. You want them to be very quiet, not loud. I don't think many people want an "enhanced sound" of a diesel through the speakers. That's my only complaint, though. Enjoy your fantastic car, sir!

Do you not get what I mean though, that if you didn’t want the sound you would likely not want a more performance orientated car so would opt for the 30d or 40d? Since it is the M50D buyers want a more sporty feel and the noise of the exhaust just adds to this in my opinion.
Please test drive that New Holland tractor.
The BMW x5 (all models) , the best all around SUV that money can buy..... believe me :) , the older model m50d 381 hp , my fuel consumption was 8-11/100 city and 6.5-9 highway..... cant be beaten...

At 100 kph ,you might find that the indicators are a trifle bit high- Bmw ad campaign of yesteryear- I love Bmws but that indicator noise effs it up for your driving experience , it’s irritating on all BMW’s.

@@marekmisztal2542 That had some more turbo lag. Fuel economy? You cannot use it in some zones anymore. What's good about an engine if you can't use it? I agree, it was a fantastic engine for the time being. It's still awesome today.

Im Grunde ein Wahnsinns Auto, nur leider bei den derzeitigen Problemen die BMW bei den Turboladern hat sind gleich 4 Turbos verhältnismäßig gefährlich zumindest ist das meine Erfahrung

Interior is cool, noise cancelation is cool. There's a lot that can break on this though. If you are lookin in this class of SUV i'd say the Mercedes GLE is the better choice. The mild hybrid one seems practical

No if you watch Mat Watson's review of the X5 and see the camera which is on the exhaust you will understand that this diesel is the best sounding diesel .

BMW makes higher performance cars with higher maintenance prices and devaluation, there's no magic. I do prefer lower TCO car like Toyota/Lexus because I don't like to waste my precious grants lol

these things are just for leasing, i would never buy one of these if i had the money. and just like what scotty would say: these are going to be endless money pits in the future
5,2s to 100 is rather on the slow side for 400hp but yet again, we're talking about a big bulky, heavy SUV. Anyway, if this time to 100 is real, i could easily bet money that an X3 30d with a simple ECU remap is faster
