We wouldn't have road cars that are over engineered at all. These unrestricted autobahns incentives car manufacturers to make sure their cars are stable and comfortable at high speeds, which trickles down to them being extra comfortable and stable at lower speeds.

Max, have you driven an M50d with air suspension? What is better ? I have one on air and find it soft , much prefered the sharper precise feel of the F15 x5 chassis in sport mode( rear air)

10:00 This information that X5 BMW is best handling car since day one until today is completely top level.... I still remember 2000 and first x5 edition.... comparing this auto with Mercedes ML was different level for X5...

Great video as always, Max. This X5 looks particularly good probably because the MSport suspension package lowers the ride height, does it? Looks super stable on the autobahn but from the looks of it, not as comfortable as a big SUV normally should be. That enhanced exhaust note gets tiresome after a while, so I hope it can actually be turned back down to normal. I actually did look at the new X5 recently in the showroom but was disappointed how limited the rear legroom is, although like you, I love the split tailgate. Interior looks really modern now but I am not a fan of these new digital instruments which are not round, and the counter-clockwise tachometer just doesn't appeal to me. I'm pretty sure, Max, if you sit in the rear after the front seat is adjusted to fit you, you will find the legroom in the back is really disappointingly tight for such a big SUV.

This interior looks kinda exactly the same as in the new 3-series too. However i dislike the small gearshifter. The old shifter in the G30 is much better to use and the placement of the P-button is so much better. I also have been confused quite a few times with the new virtual cockpit 12-inch gauge display. Still trying to get used to it. I do like the new M-sport steering wheel a lot though, it is so nice. Oh and... Some weird part of me wants this engine in the G20 3-series... M350d xDrive would be really really cool in a weird way :D

I am a fan for a long time and you guys are amazing i remember the early days when i thought Wow these guys are going to impress the world eventually...and how well you.did congratulations On the car the only thing i can say is that i had 23 cars in 5 years and after getting married and a child arrived i was really confused and tried everything from Porsche to Rs6 Avant and dont get me wrong absolute weapons and fun then one of my best friends say try this car X5 50D .....i was like wtf is a diesel then went and drove one..chipped this vehicle will embarrass 90% of cars on the road but keep your family safe at 200 kph and when you.want to have fun 0-100 in 4 seconds.....sorry i forgot to add 7 l/100km on motorway and 9 in the city even with the modifications...love you guys

A chest mounted camera would make for better shots of everything. The head-cam is far too tall for most people to get an accurate feel for the dimensions of the vehicles in your videos.

This is one beautiful BMW. Having x5 4.0d 2010 model. They are so lovely. Cool review as usual:)

A BMW X5 4.0D doesn't exist man 🙄. This is the 2010 engine line up. Petrol 3.0 L N52/N55 I6 4.4 L N63/S63 V8 4.8 L N62 V8 Diesel: 3.0 L M57/N57 I6

99% of all bmws in europe even new ones are diesel , bmw pulled out of US market diesels as theres low demand and silly strict emissions laws

@@georgiafan6618 yeah only issue is these dogshit DPF and EGR filters get clogged and they also having timing chain issues, however if you look after them there great, 320d can do 65mpg easy, even a big old tank like the X5 with any of the 3.0D options can get 40mpg too

bmw diesel engines are soooooooo smooth and progressive going through the revs. I have one and it's almost boring because it seems i'm driving so slow...until i look at the speedo and seeing other cars staying behind hahahah

I never understood the combination of a diesel with a sport mode.

Honestly, as much as I love this car, i think it's absolutely ridiculous that the smaller and lighter 5 series gets a hefty V8 diesel, while this bigass SUV gets a 6-inline. I don't get the trail of thought on that one....
