To me, the biggest take-away, for me, is that "the best" monofin is entirely personal. I tried five or six before I found the fin I love the most, and many friends have different favourites. It's important for mers to test as many tails as possible to find what fits your feet and style the best.

Exactly! I tried the Mahina and felt off balance and didnt like that my ankles were so close together, I like the luna more but find it a bit snug, from what I hear the Fantasea fins might be my perfect monofin and I'm saving up to get one!

I am glad that Magictail is selling their pro tails with the mahina now and I am so glad super super super excited to get my mahina with my Magictail this summer

The luna takes a lot of getting used to. Its like gaining the trust of a feral cat. You just got to work at it until one day you realize you have fallen in love.

I want one of these so bad!!! Enjoyed this review! I have never swam with a mermaid fin so I think I would like to try the fin fun!

After you use the mahina going back to the finfun is HARD 😂

I totally get you about putting the foil into a Finfolk tails skin!! I got the foil for mine but I can’t even wear it with it!!😭 my feet are very wide and the foot pockets are really far apart so i can’t fit my legs into my tail when I’m wearing that monofin and it cramps soooo bad!!! Now I swim in my Finfolk with the Mermaid Linden kids monofin and it works great!! I’m hopefully going to get the finis Luna and Mahina soon to advance my collection😂 love your videos!❤️

Without even trying it I know that I would love the Linden monofin.

The first tail my mom bought me was a junk tail from wish so the mono fin was really junk so it broke into a bunch of peices so I couldn't use it anymore do then about a year later I saved up enough for a mahina it still hasn't arrived but I'm really excited

I like the propulsion I get with the Kat Triton, but my feet like the Mahina better (less cramping on the ankles). I still need to test the Luna.

I am absolutely shocked that the Linden was not one! They were absolutely around already when this was filmed and it's been my opinion is the best monofin out there. Way better than the Mahina and the most versatile monofin you could want. When I started I asked my pod if I should get the advanced pro fin fun or Linden and everyone basically went with Linden. I ended up getting a fin fun years later and used it only once because by comparison to the Linden it's practically garbage. The Linden first of all, can be used in fin fun skins and actually does it better than their fin because it holds the material top so the flaps don't reveal the monofin underneath. The same monofin can be put into a fin folk tail or swim tails and give good propulsion as well. You can easily have one fin and pop it into all the different tails which is what I've done. It has not shown any breakdown despite years and years of heavy use. It was my first proper monofin and still it is my main monofin. I had another mermaid who's actually a representative and salesperson for fin fun try it and it so blew her away that she agreed about it being wildly Superior to their best monofin. The company that makes it doesn't even tell you that they include a pair of really great water socks in case you want or need a better fit - which I really didn't find I needed but love the socks - but also the send it in its own PVC and mesh carrying case that can be worn as a backpack to carry it around. Go with the Linden and have no regrets.

I just stumbled over this video and just want to virtually hug you for your quick mention of the Magictail Monofin. I had it and I absolutely hated it! Everyone around me seems to just love it and I started to doubt myself and my judgement. So yay - someone else out there shares my opinion!

LMAO... Hi Faith! I love your reviews.. and I did watch this one a few weeks ago and something kept making me think of it so I went back and watched it again.... The Chinese knockoff fin looks like a smaller ( LITERALLY JUST SMALLER) version of the TASH fins I have! (Its almost the exact size of the RAPID) It does fit into my finfolk tail as well... it will be interesting to see how it performs! Thanks again for making such great content, I love seeing your videos!

I have both Fin Fun Monofins: Pro and AMP. I originally got the AMP and had an Epic Mess trying to get my size ten feet into it. I was gong to send it back (Fin Fun has great customer service), they suggested the original Pro as being stretchier, more accommodating for big feet. Then I saw a video from the Mermaid Seamstress who has the same sort of feet... she was fine putting it on IN the water and it worked very well (less slippage than the original Pro). I now use the AMP for swimming and keep the Pro as backup and to use in places where I need to be able to put a fin on fast (like pulling up on a beach for some shots, kayaking). Both are nifty, simple designs and FLOAT!!!

My 1st monofin was the Mahina. At first, it was a little bit heavy and it gave me foot cramp but i got better when you get used to it. I think, If you want speed go with the Mahina, if you want comfort do with the Luna. ( sr for my broken English)

Aquamermaid used her monofin in a finfolk fabric tail, so you could definitely use the Chinese knock-off in one because it is the aquamermaid fin

The magictail Pro isn't sold anymore (thank god) and magictail is really good now their normal fins are awesome (similar to finfun) and their pro tails (paired with the mahina) are really cool too

What would you recommend for ultra lightest weight? My mom wants to try, but with RA in her feet she can't handle a lot of weight.

@@americanShurtugalEntertainment i wear 3x and have size 10 feet.my finfun XL adult tail fits just fine, they are super stretchy i also got the amp with mine its a little snug around my feet so i wear nylon knee highs and it goes on alot easier. i hope this helps. happy swimming

Lol the only monofin I have it a cheap knockoff of the purple and pink Finis kid's monofin that does NOT fit and is held together with string. I Wish I could get the Linden monofin but alas I do not have a job or money so it'll have to wait until after the pandemic
