Its beautiful! Though bigger monofins are not for me, don't have the core strength for anything bigger than my blue ebay monofin. I do, like the look of the new Fin Fun monofin though.

I love mine; but cannot find a fabric tail that fits it… makes me really sad considering how much money I spent on it. If anyone knows where I can find a fabric tail for it; please tell me 🙏 ❤️

When you talked about never seeing anyone with the angled/not rounded feet, im just sitting here like 😅😅 ive got that...thats me...with the long big toe and all my other toes making a straight diagonal line to it. 🙄 lol makes finding shoes that fit without squishing my big toe difficult, cause most people have the rounded feet you mentioned! Lol 😅 that said, i found this monofin fits me perfect, and i LOVE it!

I bought one immediately after seeing it in your swim-along vid with Faith XD I had been looking to upgrade from my Finfun for over a year and I LOVE that it's translucent. Not had chance to swim in it yet (Pools in the UK are very rare that allow monofins boo) but I'm in the process of making my own tail-skin for it (Lots of painting scales atm XD)

I decided to wait for this video to make my decision, as I've experienced similar challenges with foot cramps and sizing (I'm an EU 41-42 but my feet are rather narrow) as you've talked about in previous videos. I guess I've missed most of the new drama but I try not to get involved much myself. As for the fin, this is an absolutely gorgeous and stellar design. I hoped you would review the Lucia, so I'm so glad you finally did! ^^ I really like its shape, so it's good to hear that it's relatively comfortable as well, as I'm currently looking to buy a new monofin, actually. I really like my Fin Fun AMP, but as I've used it A LOT in our pool, it is a bit worn out by now and I just kinda feel like I've outgrown the AMP. So I thought the Lucia would be a good option, sadly it's way out of my budget as of now and the Linden, the other monofin I considered of buying, isn't available to me either 😅 I already know that I don't really want to buy any silicone fins like the Luna or the Fantasea fins (they're all very pretty and seem comfortable, but I want to get good propulsion to be really fast while swimming), the Mahina or really hard and stiff fins like the Shooter. Sadly my methods of payment are very very limited and the only fins available to me on Amazon are the Finis Foil and the Finis Rapid. I considered the Rapid but it's very big and a lot heavier than my AMP, so I don't know if I'll be able to swim in it properly, as I don't want to get cramps and blisters and such. Maybe I have to stick to my AMP for now, as I don't know what I should do 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also it should be noted that this fin doesn’t currently ship to the US from their online shop. Courtney if it helps to pin this comment

can anyone explain me the drama? Is it just about intellectual propriety? I have seen this fin quite a few times on social media, but did not hear anything about the drama. Have I been living under a rock? Great video Courney, mermaid from Belgium here and I really adore your tail! Hope to be able to buy one from you one day, but those damn import fees :-(

Mermaid Lucia is based in Britain, and the fin ships out of China. I got 2 of them by using the message box. Her customer service is spot on. They really do run narrow, and the sizing seems a little small anyway, so size up. Other than that, totally worth it!

It’s really nice I like the shape, I love the variety of monofins out there even thought I really don’t need to buy anymore haha

This looks like a great monofin! I wish there wasn't so much drama surrounding it, I don't know if I can buy it with the two companies feuding like they are (Lucia and Ladonna, I don't care what mertailor thinks lol)

Hey Courtney, Im considering the Lucia monofin, I'm a size US W 9 and im in between sized Med and L I don't see the M/L combo size. Which do you recomend?

I have the Lucia and I absolutely love it! I find that it is faster, lighter, and more comfortable than the Mahina and I can turn it on a dime. I do some tough swimming so I def need to wear socks. I also heard that the mertailor can custom color his monofins for you I wonder if Lucia can do the same.

I've been able to swim in one and oh yes it does perform QUITE well! It combines the best parts of the mahina and luna! Although I can travel easier with those fins, not so sure about this one.

How does this fin compare the the speed/propulsion of the finis shooter and mertailors fantasea 3 fin... I just got a the fantasea 3 and love it but now there is a fin lighter... so tempting to get but like previous I am not convinced to buy another monofin. I have the luna as well and actually do not like it at all... it is comfortable but feel like I can't get anywhere without having to do extra work. So this fin is faster than the luna but is it close to what the shooter provides?

Are you going to be doing any video or anything with the whole Ladonna/Lucia thing?

I find myself most stuck on trying to find a monofin that doesn't produce a sharp heel shape, is there one with a super smooth transition? Or does it depend on the tail you choose? I'm new to mertailing so pardon me if this is rude/silly questions,😅

I've used scuba socks to both keep my feet snug in a monofin and try and prevent blisters from rubbing.

You should do a review on the the fantasea “too” fin, its a bit different from the original :)

Lol,thought just me,my left sticks out (both feet pointed outward my mom did exercises, so only one tends to now,)mgreat for following me in the snow but a pain in a mono fin.

I believe only their proprietary fins fit their new line of tails but you would need to contact them to find out.

The shape of the foot pocket is great for my feet. I have Egyptian feet, my big toe is longer than the rest. I also have narrow feet. So I abshellolutely love this Fish fin

I too have a steep slope from my big toe to my little toe, but it's still a bit harsh of a line in my opinion. In the water it's mostly fine though and socks definitely improve the overall experience!

How does it do in sand?

Could you fit it in a fantasy one tail skin??

No, fin is too big to fit in a Fantasea One tail skin in my opinion.

y e essss ive been looking for a fin thats s tad firming than the luna but not quite as big and hard and the mahina

i actually got this fin but... despite the recomendation from Lucia... the S size is waaay to small for me.... i have very wide feet... ( US 6 would be enough for the lenght of my feet... but i need US8-8,5 to fit in with my wide feet.... ) i will get the next size up fin with my custom tail from Lucia

I actually canceled my order from her because of the sizing thing. I wanted to order a med/lrg like Courtney's. I have wide 8.5 feet. She came back and was like you need an Ex Sml. I know bloody well that is not going to fit. Now I don't feel comfortable buying from her. I will probably order the same fin but through someone else. I do love the fin design.

What is the drama?

I have really small weird feet, they are quite pointed. I am the weird feet you're talking about lol. I have an extra small and this is one of the only monofins that really fits my feet.

I tried it a year ago.

As far as I know, having had a friend named Lucia, the name is pronounced "Loo-chee-a"? Idk. It's sure pretty!!

I can't justify buying from a company that makes dangerous tails like Lucia's Snake Tail. They tried to sell it as a skin everyone could use. :/

I wanted that monofin. Now i know that it is shoe shaped so that monofin is not for me.
