Yea need one of those average motherfuckers attempting to lift a thousand pounds. I agree for a person with no experience within lifting and even lifters who are at a low or mid level it can be impossible to comprehend with nothing similar to relate to the physical feats these strongmen are achieving.

I am probably way more fit and buff than like 98% of the worlds population. I would be impressed if I could throw a 20lb bag over that bar. People don't realize how difficult it is to create that much momentum into an object. Super human beasts. All of them.

Every year the competition changes, as well as the competitors. Still getting used to seeing no Hall, Big Z and this year even Lalas disappeared. Damn man

The_EluKKa I was pumped for this year... until I saw the competitors. No Eddie, no Big Z, no Lalas (whose name I love being announced lol), now it feels more like I’m watching the Brian Shaw vs Halfthor Bjornsson Classic and not the Arnold Classic. No hate on the other guys but come on, is not like they’re gonna take it from either Thor or Shaw. In all honesty they’re just... there.

It's not necessarily that the hosts are terrible at hosting events. I think it is because neither host took it serious, and took the time to properly prepare for this event. It seems like they hired these two gentlemen. There were given the date to be on set, and they just showed up and were like what do you want us to talk about? And were handed the scripts and told, by the way don't forget to mention every single sponsor. Have a great show, and were then pushed out on stage. However, I'm questioning why these men needed the scripts and couldn't just naturally ring off each athlete??? If you sat me down at the Olympia I could announce each athlete, I might need to glance at weight to be exact as they change year to year. Other than that I could ring off each competitor and their background in the time it takes to announce them. That part is on them! Need to be inform and more passionate about the sport before even accepting the job. Because that is what this was about for them most likely for both men. They probably were pair arounf $7500. Mark Henry probably made more because he has a bigger following. He might have 20k to announce. And the crowd most definitely did not help them. To me this seemed like an event held in Assia. Whether it be Japan, China, so on and so forth. Even at events like the top fights in Asian countries and the crowd is completely silent! You can hear their corners speaking to them. And they are the loudest men in the building. In fights in America you cant hear the coaches and they are yelling at the top of their lunge. And the crowd will still drowned them out! But in America for some reason the crowd. I dont get it? The crowd is mostly bodybuilders that dont really get strongman. I had to look up the rules myself. It's just a weird, testosterone filled room of meatheads also. Maybe the Crowd is too tough to cheer. Maybe they just need some drinks? But you couldn't pay me to drink a beer when I used to love going to the Arnold. No way I was going to risk ruining my conditioning and fullness while at the Arnold. Lol. Anyway, dont know who to blame. Maybe the camera crew? The camera shots where to terrible I couldn't tell what was going on! Unprofessional all around.

A bit late to respond I guess, but the crowd noise depends a lot on if they have a mic on the crowd. Same thing with stand up comedy. Sometimes the crowd is responsive but it doesn't sound like it because there isn't a mic on them
