2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After nearly twenty years of service, Land Rover has put the Freelander nameplate out to pasture. The British company maintains that the new Discovery Sport isn't a replacement for the Freelander but for now, those looking for a compact SUV from one the founding members of the segment, this is the only option. Marius finds out if the new baby Land Rover is worthy of carrying the revered Discovery badge.

Very good review. With regards to the gearbox, I agree. Around town (especially if there are a lot of corners and hills) is terrible. It is very slow to change to gear, and due to this you are often left out of the engine boost range. Then it suddenly changes down 2-3 gears and goes screaming up the hill. Very annoying. But the chassis is great and the 2L petrol engine does have a lot of power. It was a courtesy car for 3 weeks, and my kids loved it. Huge panoramic roof, and easier for young kids to get in an out (vs Discovery 4).

I have found the car does preform while cruzing... better when you drive it in "manual"

i hate the pop up gear knob. it sucks. a driver needs to hold a stick not turn gears like turning a fan knob at home..
