I think it's great when luxury vehicle manufacturers start making quality vehicles at prices accessible to many more (Benz, Land Rover, Audi)...in the $40-50k range. Smart. Take more of the buying market. And still have above average off-road ability...even though this SUV will be spending 99% of it's time on city streets (if not 100%). Nice to have the ability to do light off-roading if needed (e.g. cottage, heavy snow storm).

So happy to have discovered your channel, Señor Motormouth. I find your speed of speech perfect, which makes it easier to go through videos. Question to you or anyone know if Land Rover has fixed its reliability. It seems that they did. But would like feedback from owners. Thank you to whomever answer this question.

I've owned this car for the last 16.000 kms and can confirm most of the good stuff mentioned in this review. The downside which isn't mentioned is that the 2.0 later petrol engine with 240 bhp is yesterday‘s motor and no better than acceptable. I drive in Europe and over here the fuel consumption of this motor puts it in the category of "gas guzzler". Much worse than this is the "hole then jerk" you get after slowing down to go around a corner and then beginning to speed up. Not smooth. However the rest of the ride is great. Firm but sophisticated. Just right. Buy this car with one of the new diesel motors (and I hope there'll be a powerful one coming along) and I think you'll be very satisfied.

These look like great vehicles. But family wide we have owned 4 Discovery's and one Range Rover and all have spent almost as much time with dealers than on the rd. Electronics and gearbox problems have been most common with a few mechanical gremlins with brakes etc. Engines have all been pretty good with the diesel variants being the most trouble free. We have all but given up with land rover except one new Evoke that is a school run car and wont go off rd. We now run a Hyundai Santa-Fe which apart from a sticking door lock on the rear passenger side has been faultless, Not as good off rd obviously but that's less of a problem these days. Lets hope these new batch of cars are as reliable as their Toyota cousins and Land-rover trust them enough to put decent warranty's on them.

It would have been nice to learn basic specs, like horsepower, torque, safety features, and whether it is 4-wheel drive. Unsure if it was an oversight on your part, or the specs have yet to be finalized. Lovely video as always!

Like other said it, you probably didn`t watch the whole video or just didn`t pay attention to it since few basic specs and specifically horsepower did mentioned along with awd system. If you like a full specs of the vehicle, official website is the place to start. Zack addressed the issue awhile ago as some viewers thought he wasn`t covering as much info as they expected. Check his previous videos if you like to find out why.

Simon Spall Yes, I decided not to wait for the new full size Disco so the alternative was a Range Rover Sport or the disco sport. As the price difference in Austria is roughly € 25.000 I decided to take a conscious step down and go for the new disco sport. As far as the materials inside are concerned it really is a step down too. As the date for handing over my Disco 4 nears I'm beginning to have my doubts. Not a good sign...

Agreed- there's a pretty noticeable difference in cargo room in the two. The Discovery Sport can fit a lot more behind the second row of seats. The Evoque is a _little_ bit more stylish inside and fun to drive, but not by much. My Mom just went from an Evoque to the D Sport because of the cargo room and is very happy with it.

Why am I paying so much at oil change intervals for a new car is still under warranty. Must not be anything such as warranty service. No wonder I do not see many on the road. What was I thinking. Love the car, but no.

Looks very nice a lot of space but full of the problem that never ends and very expensive to repair. I made a mistake not to look at the proper review, not KZread promotion. More disappointed when discovered that the majority of people have an issue with this model.

Niall - have you sat in one a HSE or HSE Lux? Way more better than the fugly and bare X3 seats and better than Q5 which does not offer perforated heated and cooled seats. Dont even compare this with Q3 which is smaller and has a crooked steering wheel to seat angle...have owned all three this being the latest... X3 is of course the best driver car, but leaves a lot to be desired in amenities for the price. The engine and transmission once you get used to is fun to manage.

Unfortunately, I am seriously disappointed with this vehicle. The build quality is amazingly bad and looks very cheap. I've been driving this vehicle for three years now, I've bought it again and I'm constantly experiencing problems that in short are as follows: the interior panel knocks, rattles and creaks the entire interior, the panel is extremely badly clipped. Kofferaumverkleidung velvet handle suddenly in hands, front fender not properly engaged, error messages on the conveyor belt of the Lamdasonde - thereby unannounced loss of power - fire dangerous !!!, continues with water entering the rear lights right, the xenon flickers unmotivated and irregular, the Navi sets exactly if you need it, etc. etc. All in all, I could at the price of such a desolate, misconstructed, quite cheap and overpriced (58,000 euros!) Land Rover equal to three Dacia Duster with the luxury equipment to buy. I will certainly not repeat such a mistake!
