Old comment, but... Did you notice the camera was tilted? The hill wasn't that steep. It was steep, yes, but not as much as we were led to believe. Also, Top Gear was a great entertainment show, but maybe not the most scientific or objective. If they wanted a Range Rover go up a steep hill on the show, they made it go up that hill no matter what it took. It's scripted entertainment after all.

that tree stump, probably did like 5 grand worth of damage, no ones going to spend so much money on a car to take it properly offroad. A light saunter across a grassy paddock or driving on the beach doesnt count as real offroading either.

MenachemSchmuel lol yes he was an idiot but lol that’s why people watched top gear. It was the perfect mix of humor and knowledge and he was a key part of both the humor and knowledge. How many people watch top gear now ? Not many. Top gear and Jeremy Clarkson were sort of the perfect marriage. He and the other two were the perfect blend for the top gear platform. The current top gear crew tries very hard to bring that witty presence back but it’s not possible. It’s a shame clarkson got physical which is also wrong of him to do so hence him being fired or contract not renewed is justified but it goes without saying that Top gear and motoring shows in general won’t be the same again u til another legendary trio can come back with a better essence.

You can't allow one of your employees to physically assault someone over cold food like a massive man child and keep him employed. And the BBC has a £5 bn. budget - I wonder whether any of the 'BBC screwed up' people commenting on KZread realise how big of an organisation it is, and how little a single show, even one as successful as Top Gear, matters to them on the whole.

There is no car on the market which offers that level of luxury with that level of off road ability. Before anyone says jeep...that is not in the same league of luxury, sure its capable but not as luxury

+Rami7605 It's an off-road car with luxuries. The Land Rover started out as a hardcore 4x4 and so that's that. The Range Rover is just an extremely comfortable and posh 4x4 off-roader.

This RR is awesome! I was blown away by offroad classiness and using stock street tires to do all that? Damn

I love my old 4runner but the fact that he did all that on freaking street tires is very impressive,

This may be a crazy statement but... i believe the Range Rover Sport Autobiography is the best car on the planet. You can drive your kids to school, to work (in comfort), it sounds sexy as hell, performance of a sports car, and the car looks amazing. oh, and its the most proper off-roading suv along with the G63 AMG and toyota land cruiser. the G wagon is really cool but i get 7 mpg and the ride and handling is terrible. Range Rover Sport is a proper SUV

If all that mud running was real then Im VERY surprised. I really didn't think a SUV with normal road tires would be able to go up a muddy hill or down safely. And the cross over of the bump was impressive that it didn't high side itself. remarkable. I'd take one if they want me to test i as a daily driver for a disabled husband and wife :)

It's a luxury vehicle, but it is still a Land Rover. You can do off road with it, it would take it nicely and you would get out of the mud with a smile in your face, a dirty ca but still intact car and knowing that a land rover is still a land rover.

Oh no doubt, but I'm just the type of person that thinks of a vehicle of that price range should be kept clean and driven on roads/tracks, rather than going off-roading with. But hey, if you're a millionaire/billionaire, buy multiple ones and go off-roading with them; I'm sure it's fun for sure. I myself just do not have the kind of money to do that, haha.

At 1:22 they are showing the "vertical hill" but somethings amiss here.....we don't see the terrain he's driving up....there could be a paved road right there for all we know!

2 different rovers used the mudd one had single exhaust the track one had duel exhaust.

One word. Amazing

If you see Range Rover on the road it means it goes to the service or comes from the service. The rear window of Range Rover is heated to make your hands warmer, when you push it to service in winter time. You can always find bus schedule it the glove box of Range Rover.

When did your RR was pushed to somewhere?!? I have a discovery 4 and an evoque and had no problems with them. A friend of mine has the old generation Sport supercharched and still- no bloody problems with it either! The only times they were serviced were for the regular maintaince! Stop righting stupid comments without good arguments.

Petar Lyubenov Why do you say stupid if i have bad experience with RR? I bought my first RR Sport Supercharged in 2013 from official dealer and it was absolutely new car with billion of problems. You can say "it's because you are bad driver", then OK. I am agree if i have problems with suspension or engine or transmission - thats maybe because i am indeed bad driver, BUT!!! After 3000 km run ventilator of conditioner stoped (changed to the new by guarantee and payed for repairing), after 5000 ventilation of passengers seat broke down, 6000 km error with gas pedal, 10000 km error with electronics (changed computer), 22000 km pneumatic suspension broke down, 35000 had to change half of the suspension, 40000 had to change all seals of transmission and engine. And many many other problems with it. If i am wrong, why all the ratings made by car observers say that RR is the worst car which needs service much more than others do? Then i tried to sell it, and could not do.. changed it to Lexus LX570 and have no trouble now.

As with most range rovers wait until it’s two or three years old and everything starts packing up. Beautiful cars ,just so much on them ie sensors it’s more to go wrong. And yes I own a Range Rover.
