My buddy and I installed this in my 2015 GT PP today, and it is no joke! The shifts are super tight, and there is no slop at all anymore. We replaced the bushing and reverse lockout with the much nicer Steeda parts. I gotta say, even with a lift, some of those bolts and nuts were really hard to get to. It would have been much easier if I did it when I replaced my catback exhaust system! Make sure that you have extensions and what-not.

All the gears work but the only thing that doesn’t work is reverse , I have to take the knob off for that ... any recommendations?

when the parts included are shown, what is the plastic thing between the grease and the small Allen screws?

complete set up? what do you mean by that? Like an entirely different transmission? The mt82 is pretty shitty for a M6 though

We do not offer them, I would try the dealer.

I think for my 2016 California Special I will still go with the Barton shifter. Isn't that what you have on your Mustang Bill? You like it?

Yes I have a Barton now and I love it! Looks like stock and is very tight and accurate

After installing i cant go into first or 2nd gear ! Help?!

This is just a replacement stick so nothing gear related should be affected as long as the stick is seated correctly in the black cup at the bottom and the white cup at the top.

Probably far fewer people than you realize need heavy metal background music for a somewhat technical video. Less music, unobstructed and clear video shots, clear voice, good facts. Voila!

Seems to me like for that amount of work one mid as well just install a full short throw shifter kit.

i just installed it utilizing the instructions from steeda which differ slightly and the reverse lockout does not work please help bill

+Juan Cossio I did it is very important that you pay attention to the note when installing the lockout. My issue was I had the hole on the driver side. It will not work it needs to be on the passenger side.

Unfortunately that is not my issue. The stick is facing the right position (screw hole facing passenger side). I was thinking the parts 'shifted' to the right (passenger side) after reinstall, but here is no play (gaps) between the housing and the white coupling holding the stick in place. I was able to work around it by placing a huge zip tie I had in my toolbox around the very bottom sleeve. This gave the sleeve an additional 1/16th" thickness it needed to stop it from going into R without having to lift the sleeve. I reached out to steeda, but they haven't replied back.

I can’t get into reverse with the stock shift knob installed. There is no room for the collar to move up, everything looks correct according to this video
