I want reviews to start digging deeper in the vehicles we drive. Sure Ride, Style, Handling, Functionality, and Costs all important. But what about Materials we see and don't see? For Example. Rubber gaskets around door frames on the low priced Hyundais are so thin and cheap. Look at the suspension set ups and switch materials etc. Something that might interest a lot of us. ;-)

Driving the Altima feels like hanging with an old friend, beautiful, love it.

Nice comparisons! I've driven the Accord, Camry and the Malibu. I was really impressed with the quiet cabin of the Malibu. It added a lot of extra points for me. I wish Chevrolet had the same reliability and same mpg of a Honda or Toyota though.

Fusion is the sexiest. Specially in the titanium trim which also comes in AWD.

Awesome camera work guys this video looked amazing on my big screen in the living room. I think the Malibu looks very nice inside, however not as nice as the 2016's on the outside. If I didn't work for one of the Big 3 id be tempted to look at the Mazda, Camry and Accord.

I love both the new Malibu and the new Mazda 6 but if I had to pick I would go with the 6 just love it! Great review kbb

The Honda Accord may be conservative when it come to styling but it's still the best all-rounder when it comes to mid-size sedans for a number of reasons! -Good reliability -Great resale value -Good gas mileage -Great driving feel

Love my 2013 only stopped on me once and it needed a battery!

I just bought the new Mazda6 Grand Touring to replace my 07 BMW 328 (b/c the Bimmer has almost 200K miles). The 6 is by faaaaaaaar the best looking car in this segment, with arc-shaped fenders front & rear that give the car smooth curves & a muscular, solidly planted stance. The 19" wheels help too. The interior is great too, with a practical layout of switches, & very high-quality surfaces all over. The most surprising thing is that even with 19" wheels, the ride is not harsh at all. The handling is a given in a Mazda. And the icing on the cake is that it's top of the line fully loaded for 30K, where a comparable top-line Accord, Camry, or Fusion would be at least 6-7 grand more

Hi ....I am looking forward to buying the Mazda6. I was initially in favour of the Accord. But as soon as I read and saw the reviews of the MAzda I have become obsessed withit. I test drove it. I just want to know your experience since you have it for 2 months. Do you think the smaller screen or the dated infotainment is too much of a stopper to buy? Also is it too noisy in the long run? It would be great if I could get the views of an actual user than just the internet reviews

betty89 I don't notice much road noise, it's pretty well isolated. But I replaced the stock Dunlops with much smoother Michelins as soon as I bought the car, so I don't know if that might play a role. The screen's smaller size isn't a huge deal to me, it works very intuitively. I don't use the navigation because I don't like its Tomtom system, instead I have Google Maps on my phone hooked up thru bluetooth, so that the speakers read out all the steps of a route

Altima is so smooth my fam got a Camry and Honda and Altima and hands down Altima is so comfy

Why does nobody want a Camry? It's easily the most reliable and comfortable out of these cars, and the V6 makes it a real sleeper.

Hard to pass on the Accord, Camry, or Altama, but the Mazda 6 would get $$$. Great review btw.

I like most of these choices but being from Wisconsin with our harsh winters i'm going with the Subaru Legacy with its great AWD system as my next car, if i don't splurge for a Lancer Evo X lol. Although if snow wasn't as big of an issue for me i would probably go with the Mazda 6. Based on this list for me its 1-Mazda 6 2-Subaru Legacy 3-Nissan Altima 4-Toyota Camry(New 2015) 5-Honda Accord 6-Ford Fusion 7-Kia Optima 8-Chevy Malibu I'd only really be looking at the top 4 when it comes time to get a new car but again the 30 mpg combined Legacy with a 660 mile range and AWD will more than likely be my choice

Passat is the best. Best handling and smooth luxury ride.

I love my Camry. It is so reliable and very quiet inside. Plus it holds it's value incredibly well. The 2.5 four cylinder is so much better than the previous 2.4

Give me the Accord anytime.

I don't understand how you can test a Ford Fusion with the touch screen, touch panel in the middle, no backup camera then go "We found the lack of backup camera baffling". You didn't select the model that had it, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you compare a base model vs a fully equipped one, you're not doing it right. Then again, the new Sonata and Genesis come standard with things like backup camera, touch screen, heated/power seats, etc. where as the competition mostly does not.

I'm watching this in 2022 and you're right. The description of each car is correct. Styling of the Camry hasn't improved since then though. Honda Accord yes it certainly has improved ( actually Gorgeous) Malibu certainly looks better now as well but at the time I liked the 2014 grille over 2013.

Powerful engines + good suspension = a good driving experience, something you'd experience in the Fusion (w/o the std 2.4L) and the Mazda 6 (although I could use a bit more power on the 6) The Kia is a good value but it's clear they cheaped out w/ the suspension as the optima can be a chore to drive.

well done, still could have used a list of ranking. like the criticism and praise on each of these cars.

The brand new, redesigned 2015 Sonata is already out and would be a serious contender based on other reviews I've watched. Feature-wise there isn't any other midsize sedan that can hold a candle to it.

Being in Morro Bay you should be eating in Cayucos Smoke's House or Cambria's Black Cat Bistro!

At the end of the day they are just cars the 2011 Charger was my dream car after a year of owning the car it felt like just another car to me don't get me wrong I love the car but after all just all the same just a little bit more specs here and there

I think the Accord looks pretty good. It's not too conservative and it's ok to not have all those swoops and creases some other scars have.

I would definitely go with the Ford Fusion or the Toyota Camry 2014. But the 2015 Toyota Camry is ugly!! The front looks nice but The back is just ugly

I like the fusion and the Altima but they have been really unreliable since they were redesigned. I'm not saying don't buy them. But be aware. They are good cars. But they could be better

Really solid built car and 36mpg Highway with AWD! cant beat that in my opinion. I am more amazed at the Subaru Eye sight option, a unique forward collision avoidance system compared to radar sensors on others.

why does everyone think popular is always a good thing plus the Camry is popular in the north American market in other markets not so much

Where’s the 200, oh wait, it probably had transmission issues so it had to be towed back to Irvine before the comparison! For me, I’d take the Optima!

The review was great, however, you should not have just ignored the sonata and passat. Letting out the Chrylser 200 was rather ok due to its unreliability. If it's unreliable, then it's unworthy of mentioning and irrelevant.

No it doesn't nearly outsell all of them out together. The Accord and the Mazda 6 are the best in this segment. The Accord also sells like crazy like the Camry. It isn't really behind in terms of sells.

OneAndyOnly The Accord is definitely not way behind. The Camry is definitely not higher quality but it is more popular. Popularity doesn't mean anything. And the Accord is not wayyy behind in terms of popularity. It took Toyota a long time to even make Camrys as safe as Accords were from the beginning.

mark williams I have the 6th gen v6 camry. I think the styling for that generation was great before they screwed up with the next gen. Sure it doesnt handle as tight as an altima or accord but the engine that is still used in todays camrys by the way has plenty of power and the transmission is great.

And i'm very glad they decided to leave out the Passat, VW has no chance of getting me as a customer

so now 6 years later out of all of those cars which ones are reliable and worth your $$$ Toyota Honda and Subaru, that's it
