Chuy! Hah hah, this video was perfect for me. I have a '17 Journey, stalling out on highway. Sputtering when trying to restart. When to auto store - crankshaft position sensor circuit fault. Got the sensor, had no idea where is was. Your video cleared everything up for me.

I just did it this morning at 10:00 am, temp around a 100 degrees. I worked from under the car, used my ramps. It went fairly easy. Going from the top of engine you chance breaking stuff more. Great video !!. You gave me the courage to jump on it.

@@sealedsecure3754 can you use that thermostat? As a reference. And this is a four cylinder. Is your the v6? Can I ask what’s your car doing for you to need to change it. I have a 2015 journey and it’s just stalls whenever but then it’ll run fine then it might not.

On this 2.4 engine it is. If you have a 3.6 it’s in a different location. I’m sorry for the confusion. When I made this video I forgot to label the engine

Lmao no. That is 100% the cam sensor youre changing in this video. The crank sensor on BOTH the 2.4 and the 3.6 is located just above the oil pan on the back of the engine. ​@chuythemobilemechanic

Car stalling when in idle. Rough idle, eng feels off when driving and if you have a journey you get the code PO335

replace sensor, and start car.. if runs and no issues then it doesnt need to be programmed!

I'm having a hard time getting to my crankshaft sensor I have a 2011 Dodge Journey Mainstream 3.6 I have it all torn down but I can't touch the sensor what am I doing wrong ?

Try getting it from the bottom. There seems to be alot of space behind the engine so you should have a better angle from the bottom. Just lift it up with a jack and make sure you use jackstand for safety. There’s two sensors back there so make sure you have the right one

You didn’t show us anything other than where it is. You didn’t show how to move the lines or where to move them.

This the crankshaft sensor not the camshaft sensor

How the hell do you put a crankshaft sensor in the camshaft hole that's not the crankshaft dude unless that's a different like the 3.6 that's not where the crankshaft goes the crankshaft is at the bottom of the f****** engine where you actually have to pull the metal plate just to get to it

It's on the bottom of the engine. By the Bell housing. That's not a "camshaft" hole.

You changed the camshaft position sensor not the crankshaft position sensor
