Just finished this project on my 2008 Towncar the tip on shift. indicator was a great timesaver

So what was wrong wit it? What did you replace? I’m confused

In my case it was a dead via at permanent 12v supply

We repaired the circuitry on the cluster.

I have a 2003 Town Car that displays dashes instead of the info, at times only and then goes back to normal. Also, the back up alarm stops working half te time.

My digital gauge on the cluster isnt lighting up anymore, Any thoughts on that ? Thx

The way you changed out that gear selector indicator, is that a pretty common method or is this specific to this vehicle?

Hello I have a question so I got a 2003 Lincoln town car and my clusters speedometer don’t work & also it doesn’t show the mileage nor trip it just shows a bunch of lines - - - - - could this be a fuse problem?? Or I’ll have to send it for repair. Plz help I’ve been braking my head trying to find the problem.

Driving 06crown without instrument cluster while beened rebuild makes engine shakes n sucks alots gas n throwing code p460(fuel sending sensor) feel like car going to shut off hope didn't damaged anything else ?

I have a cluster on a 2003 Town Car everytime the weather is hot the speedometer stays at 0 even though I'm driving and the traction and brake and seat belt lights stays lit. and it doesn't show the mileage or trip either just a bunch of dotted lines where the mileage goes. What could this be? It's a intermittent problem doesn't happen all the time..

So what was wrong with it?

My 2006 Lincoln Town car once in awhile the gauge was a stop working when you're driving or when you go to start the car you have to put it in neutral what can I do to fix it

Im just asking, is there an instrument cluster fuse? Even my instrument panel lights arent working, the ones that illuminate numbers, randomly lost all power, including gages arent workin, nothing is in the dash, Im just hoping there is a fuse for that. Thanks. It happened when i put in New battery, and my Lincoln is 2007 also

Fuses 13 and 25 in left side of dash fusebox give power to the Instrument cluster. Both are red 10 amp fuses.

What is the red light for between the fuel and temp gauges ? Just bought a 2006 and it’s drivin me nuts. Thanks.

It's just a warning light indicating that something else isn't right, like an open door, unbuckled seatbelt, opened hood or trunk, check engine light or any other malfunction indicator. Newer cars usually have a triangle with an exclamation point in it for the same purpose.

Hi, anyone knows how to change speedometer from mph to kph

My dash goes in and out and the battery light comes in as well. Battery and alternator are good. Both have 14 to 15amps. Do you think its a dash?

Yes it is very common for these to have full intermittent power loss. We can fix it.

So I opened everything up & old cluster has 2 connectors while the new one has 1. was hoping it would be a plug & play but no unfortunately. you could theoretically look up the wiring diagram for both clusters, strip the wires, & reconnect it but I'm not gonna go through the hassle & do it so good luck!

Could u remove the cluster lens without removing anything else you think? I need to clean the inside of mine

Yes this is a very common issue. We have not seen these clusters cause parasitic drain yet.

The link he mentions takes you to their shop page with directions on how to send faulty clusters which they gonna repair for you. This video is practically a clever clickbait.

Found bad solder joint and resoldered it. Most likely. May have just resoldered all pins on the main connector and display. If you can't solder well you should probably send it to someone to fix.

how many days would it take to repair the instrument cluster ? for a 2007 Lincoln town car, executive L. the gauges work sometimes, but for the most part, the gauges are not working and the lights are off. i have ran out of gas many times bcuz my gauges were not working, sometimes if i hit a pothole, the instrument cluster will start working again for a short time , then the gauges stop working again. can you help me with this problem ??

AUTOMOTIVE CIRCUIT SOLUTIONS /// ]]] I disconnected the Temperature sending unit/temp sense, so How can I test the instrumentation temp gauge in my cars dash board by itself to check if its working correctly, what do I need to do?

This video gave 0 information to how he repaired the cluster, even though the title suggests that he will show how to repair it. There was nothing showing a repair of anything at all.
