This is round 3 of the 2004 Chevy Trucks 250cc AMA Motocross Championship from Motocross 338 in Southwick, MA.
Returning contenders like SX champ Chad Reed, Kevin Windham, Sebastien Tortelli, Sean Hamblin, David Vuillemin, WSXGP champ Heath Voss, Michael Byrne, Nick Wey, Ernesto Fonseca, defending 125cc champ Grant Langston, Tim Ferry, and 4-time defending 250cc MX champ Ricky Carmichael battle it out for the 2004 Chevy Trucks 250cc AMA Motocross Championship. This series is dominated once again by Ricky Carmichael. This is Ricky Carmichael's final season with Team Honda after announcing he would be riding for Team Suzuki for 2005. Ricky Carmichael goes for his historic 5th straight Southwick win, which would eclipse Jeff Stanton's 12-year-record of 4 straight wins from 1989-1992.

ESPN2 did the top 20 after motos even longer than that -- 2002 was when they started showing the first 20 finishers after showing only the first 10 for so many years.

I suppose (lol). Personally, I liked that ESPN2 showed the first 20 finishers, and I was puzzled to why they stopped that at some time during this National season. It was better than having to wait until looking at the overall sheet to see anyone 11th or lower.
